I like the changes and specifically the help & support section. Sharing support topics could help others who would normally create a ticket for the same issue.

Ah, I'm sorry I didn't make this clearer. The Community Manager's Lounge replaces the Client Lounge, so you need to be logged in with an active client account to contribute.

We merged in the general chat as we felt that a fairly random 'everyone can chat' forum fit with the rest of the community.

I’ll see what I can do.
Jordan is already collecting feedback in themes. I know he has a Club list on the go. He has a board in our organisational tool which he’s using to track it all.

I would expect further changes as he gets more comfortable with it.

I can't post a new topic in the help area.  I know I'm not a client, but I have active paid-for subscriptions to numerous plugins and apps, and I should still be able to have access to those and keep them updated on my site regardless of my status with Invision.

Sleeker and more applicable.  Makes it easier to see where to post and what.  Great improvement.

Matt got a reaction from Jordan Miller in 4.5: Zapier Brings Integration with Over 2,000 Web Apps
    Hi AA!

We have made the decision to only bring some advanced features to our Cloud and Enterprise communities, and Zapier is one of them. This means that Zapier will not be available for on-premises licenses.

I realise this contradicts my previous statements from last year. I strive for transparency and share what our current thinking is, which means that sometimes we change course in public.
We are planning some more advanced features which need to leverage the computing power of our cloud hosting network and would be almost impossible to implement outside of our hosting. Trying to produce software for the lowest common denominator is getting increasingly challenging as expected standards move on.

To be clear, we're not going to heavily restrict new features available to the on-premises license, and neither are we considering two separate versions of Invision Community. On this occasion, Zapier makes a better fit for our Cloud and Enterprise communities, and it's backed by our own hosting network.

We are actually in the process of revamping our cloud plans to be much more generous with data storage and are considering other metrics as the headline differentiator.

Matt reacted to Davyc in Battling toxicity in communities with kindness and vulnerability
There is one hole in this line of thought, not that I totally disagree with it, but vulnerability can lead to exploitation, so you would need to measure this with some other form of displaying firmness.  How you would do that will depend on the individual.  Some people don't like to portray vulnerability, because of the issue of potential exploitation. I would replace the word and the meaning with "understanding" and finding out what leads to the toxicity.  It's extremely easy to ignore the root of an issue and react rather than discover.
Some people are just generally nasty, that's in their nature and these kinds of people will swarm on displays of vulnerability and exploit them to the full, which will raise the toxicity levels higher. So, show some understanding, discover why and then decide on how to deal with the issue.  It may be that some people will be toxic to get attention, their rational posts may be ignored whilst their toxic ones attract attention.
I don't believe there is a one-stop-shop-solution to people's behaviour and every case needs to be measured with the right kind of response. Of course, this means that Admins and Moderators need to be more understanding of people's foibles and ways and get to the root of an issue and then sort it from there.  Many Admins and Moderators may not see this as the right approach and deal with issues differently, it's about finding out what works best for them and whether their methodology actually works in turning toxic into enjoyable.

I'm sorry that you've had a poor experience, but that doesn't mean we're not listening to the community.

The marketplace changes have been much discussed, but on the whole most people are very positive about them now. We recently made a change so that even when you have an expired Invision Community license you can still access paid-for marketplace items. This change was directly from feedback.

Your issue sounds very much limited to your set-up.

Hi there! Super sorry to hear about this. I can imagine that must be frustrating as a business owner for you. I do think Invision IS super keen on listening to the community, though. They're literally putting their money where their mouth is by hiring me, because my role is to do just that. Let's see if we can turn things around for you so you don't feel left in the dark. If you are open to that of course. 🙏
