  1. Let's do some detective work 😄 Can you post here a list of all the custom apps/plugins that you have installed and maybe we will find the culprit. If you are going to remove the apps, don't forget to make a backup of their database tables if you want to keep their data after reinstalling them.
  2. If you go to the Support area in your Admin Panel, are there any messages there pertaining to the php 8 incompatibility?
  3. The issue is that one of your custom apps is not compatible with php 8 and/or the latest version of Ipb. Looking at the error message, it affects the topics.
  4. This type of error usually happens when more queries are sent to the database than can be processed. What is the value set for max_connections? That value will show how many concurrent connections the MySql server currently allowing. What version of Ipb and php are you using? I think I've seeing a topic or 2 with this error before where it was mentioned that it was a bug.
  5. Something has caused the sike, as it doesn't happen out of nowhere. High CPU is caused by inefficient queries. (poorly indexed or poorly designed) queries, I would start as adviced by Adriano, to disable all third party plugins/apps and see if it will help. If it does, enable them one at a time until you find the culprit. What is the value set to for join_buffer_size?

  8. Did you do the domain switch only, or did you have to upload your forum files to another folder as well? Was the move within the same host/server? Can you please post here a step by step what you did? If you can access your Admin Panel, can you go to the Support tab and see if there are things flagged in there that will need fixing?

  11. It needs to be changed at the php.ini. Ipb files don't need any changes.
  12. It looks like an incorrect path issue. The path where session_start() attempts to write its data to is not correct. The session.save_path should be entered correctly at the php.ini. You can use the tool below to check. Yes, provided it meets the requirements.

  14. Almost all hosts make regular backups so the chances of that happening are very low imo.
  15. You could share the host log in details amongst yourselves (admins) to avoid situations like this. Or you could look into hosting your forum with Invision and you will not have to worry about stuff like this anymore.
  16. Adding such a tool poses a secuity risk. That is why the SQL Toobox was removed in the first place. Do you have Ftp access? If you have no ftp/cpanel access then there is not much that you could do to make a backup I am afraid.
  17. I was under the impression that they were marked as spammers from your posts above. I am sorry for the misunderstanding. If they are not marked as spammers, on what criteria would you like to delete their content then?
  18. Yes, it is possible through custom coding. However, I am not sure that I understand the dashboard page part. Can you please post a mock up screenshot of what you mean by that?
  19. I don't think there is, if you don't know the culprit. You should start with the custom apps that affect the topics, as mentioned above. Most likely one of them is going to be the culprit as most apps here at the MP from what I have seen are php 8 compatible. That is a good idea. Like that you can identify the culprit without disrupting your main forum. The thing with this is that if you can' upgrade your php to affect only the test site, you will have to disable all third party plugins/apps for your main site till you find the issue.
  20. Can you check the installed App's/plugin 's page here at the Marketplace to see if any of them is not compatible with php 8? That might save you some time. You should look especially into the apps/plugins that have to do with topics, as the error messages you posted above indicate that
  21. I wish we could do multiple reactions here. I wanted to like, agree, meouw and haha this post all at once lol. Very well said @Matt. Why people are saying that they want to go to a community platform that is as good as dead, with no communication from the management and with very bad support to match, is beyond me. That is the same as turning in your ferrari for a beat up car that won't take you a few km without giving you engline trouble.
  22. The new pricing structure is very fair imho. People will get their money's worth and then some, no questions about that. Personally I find it a very good deal. But unfortunately, no matter what you do, you can't please everyone.
  23. I couldn't like this post enough and I completely agree 100% with the above. Personally, I truly appreciate the way that Ips management keeps their customers in the loop, listens to us and interacts with us. You don't see this at other community platforms, where there is only silence from the management, and indeed, bad and barely support. Ips is and will remain the best and leading community platform in the market.
