MEVi got a reaction from OptimusBain in Send a newsletter to a Club members
Hello,
I wanted to send a newsletter to the members of a club, but this feature does not exist. So I had to create a special group, then one by one, add each member of a defined club, which is time consuming.
I would like to be able to send a newsletter from the admin panel to the members of a Club.

MEVi reacted to Fast Lane! in How does "Use Redis to reduce MySQL overhead" work?
It sounds like "sessions and topic view counters" are stored in Redis, however my question is if these are periodically copied back to the database? What frequency if so. Asking because inevitably services and even servers get reset. Storing in memory forever seems unlikely.

We have made some optimizations for 4.6, mainly disabling Redis data being encrypted by default.

MEVi reacted to Ryan Ashbrook in Security: CP-Admin and gstatic.com
Statistical graphs are generated using Google Charts. If you have any Dashboard blocks loading statistics (like Registrations, Online Users, etc.) that will be why it's calling to gstatic.com.

MEVi reacted to Joel R in Alternative to Amazon S3
From what I understand, IPS has hardcoded certain functions to S3 like in IP.Downloads. If you do investigate Wasabi and Cloudflare, you'll be reliant on a Marketplace plugin.
With that said, I would support S3 compatible buckets which would dramatically open more choices for community admins. If I were to use Amazon S3 + Cloudfront, I would be paying something like $180 - 200 / mo for just storage, bandwidth, and CDN and it will continue to grow as I'm charged as usage grows. With Wasabi + Cloudflare, I'm paying a flat $26 with significantly more capacity to store up to 1 TB at the same $26 price. The cost savings are too compelling.

MEVi reacted to Matt in Clubs (or something similar) for 1 member only
Clubs with one member:
I don't think this has broad appeal, but Pages with some custom plug-ins could likely accommodate it.

MEVi reacted to NoSpy in Club Categories
It's a good idea when the website is in multiple languages or deals with different themes, having the possibility to create categories for clubs would simplify the life of the members.

MEVi got a reaction from NoSpy in Google reCAPTCHA v3 on IPS. When?
Invision offers a subscription-based spam filter, it would be convenient to have this additional feature without having to go through an external developer.

MEVi got a reaction from Haku2 in Subscription Categories
Hello,
I have created different types of subscriptions but I find that it would be convenient to be able to create categories that are not visible to all members. I don't want to use the shop because the subscription system means that you can only have it in a subscription.
The member might see only 3 subscriptions and if he subscribes to one of them, then he will be able to see the other subscription possibilities.

MEVi got a reaction from Haku2 in Support url disappeared from Client Area
When I go to a Zendesk link to see the tracking, it notifies me that the account has been deleted.
https://invisionpower.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/
You should have a copy of the support ticket with attachement on our forums 😇 -
MEVi got a reaction from NoSpy in Support from Client Area stored in Client Forum
This is a great idea 😉
Like that if it changes system (zendesk) have will not lose all the subjects created. Another advantage is that it is no longer necessary to break your head for the respect of the private sphere, which is interpreted differently in each country.

MEVi reacted to NoSpy in Support from Client Area stored in Client Forum
Hello,
The management of support tickets request of past from the admin interface. Why don't I create a copy of the ticket "locally" on the forum to have a follow up and make the pictures also be stored on the client's web site "locally"?

MEVi reacted to Haku2 in Files without illustration/icon auto add MIME icons
This feature, or at least a great part of what you're describing, used to be in earlier versions (3.x and below) of the software. I'm not sure why it was removed. I'd like to have it back, however.

I am looking for a way to restrict the visibility of clubs to identified members only (like facebook).

MEVi got a reaction from Haku2 in Files without illustration/icon auto add MIME icons
Hello,
Members often send PDF, ZIP, IP-Downloads without illustrations. I have to edit each topic to add a MIME icon, which takes time.
The idea is that if there is no illustration/icon associated with a document/file in the IP-Downloads, MIME icons will be used. In the administration options, we should be able to choose to add an illustration/icon for each file type. We can also imagine that when the member sends a photo in IP-Downloads, there is an automation for the creation of the illustration based on the photo.
Moreover, this generates many (useless) files on the server. If the file was common to all, it would save space and bandwidth, thanks to caches.

MEVi got a reaction from NoSpy in Can a complete Blog, ... be moved from one Club to another
Hello,
It lacks the functionality (CP-Admin) to move the blog, forum, agenda, files... from one club to another. It should also be possible to make it invisible/maintenance to members, this means that when adding topics to a forum, blog, files or full Club, members are not notified. If the Club is in maintenance/inactive mode, have the possibility to send a message/newsletter to all these members.
