olyclimber got a reaction from SJ77 in AI driven spam service
Prevent spam would be at the top of my list! 😉
I'm for anything that helps with this, whether it is AI or something else. Just deleted 17 pages of spam all posted this morning. I'm just doing admin approved registrations at the moment till I figure out a path out of this.

I would like to reply to this thread just to encourage Invision to continue to offer self hosting options and as new features come available I would like to see them available to self hosting customers. I’m a big fan of this software, and but I do by far prefer the self hosting option. I appreciate the hosted option, but it is not what I prefer.

olyclimber got a reaction from Marc Stridgen in htaccess question
I am @Jim M. If I had to do any other community forum (I'm considering starting another) I would choose Invision every time.

olyclimber reacted to Nathan Explosion in Question about changing the background color/font color of a "button"
It's as simple as that...
.cToken.cToken_selected { color:pinkwithgreensparkles !important; }
-
olyclimber reacted to Nathan Explosion in Question about changing the background color/font color of a "button"
Right click the item and inspect the item before you click it and then after you click it, then find the classes that are applied to it before/after:
BEFORE
AFTER
From the dev tools css files - the color isn't changing, the opacity is:
.cToken.cToken_selected { opacity: 0.7; } So override it...
.cToken.cToken_selected { opacity: 1 !important; } This kind of stuff is usually a lot easier for others to figure out if you post a link to a site (which allows people to look at the html/css) instead of a screenshot (which only allows people to look at a pretty picture)

Thats too bad. Thanks. I need a "Mark as No Solution" button, but I suppose that would require customization! 🤣

Yes, that could explain it.
When using Filezilla, and if the related view option is chosen (it displays at the bottom of the transfer window), it will show you all files that failed to transfer. That failure is usually due to the permissions. Make sure that the account you use for Filezilla has full permissions to both folders and files.

ACP > Community > FORUMS > Settings > Forum Settings TAB > Topic Summary Settings
There are 4 settings in that area where you can change how that summary in the sidebar is generated. By default it shows only after the topic reaches X pages, but there is a checkbox to make it always show which I believe is what you want.
Here's a link to the guide:

olyclimber reacted to Makoto in Radical Tags
Hello! I should be available to perform this for you later tonight. Just shoot me over me the information noted in our private conversation and I'll get it taken care of for you!

That would be the only way to control the license key.

No problem! Just send me a message here when you're ready and I'll be sure to set some time aside for you.

olyclimber got a reaction from Makoto in Radical Tags
Appreciate it @Makoto I will take you up on that offer. Really my only two key apps are the Tagging and a custom app that has already been updated for 4.7 and is ready to be installed in the same manner.
Now I just need to find the time, but so I'll be in touch with you soon to make sure you are available.
Thanks again!

olyclimber reacted to CaliPilot in Radical Tags
Hi,
I strongly recommend to do a test drive in a test environment. We had issues when we upgraded and switched from ATP to RT and it took @Makoto a while to solve the issue (which is maybe now fixed for you too).

I would just disable everything and have a clean upgrade. Enable them one by one post upgrade.

olyclimber reacted to teraßyte in Updating a neglected IPB forum
Yeah, a few sites I know that were using that application all converted to using Radical Tags instead.
As for Minimized Quote, it's now a built-in feature since version 4.5 so you can just uninstall the plugin.

4.7.3 is compatible with PHP 7.4. PHP 7 just went out of support from PHP this month. Invision Community 4.7.4 is the first full release which forces PHP 8. Why there have been a lot in motion from us to alert customers 🙂 .

If it is not compatible with PHP 8, it will break, unfortunately. The short answer is yes. The risk of running third party plugins on your community, unfortunately.
These are all ours or programmed by us so will be fine.
