I noticed that max files per post no longer limits status posts, only forum posts. I need a setting for both. Can you help?
IS this possible? Please and thank you 🙂

Just to close the loop on this in case it helps anyone in the future.
I had restored my test site to an older backup that had a different admin login than what I am using now.
Once I recalled the login I had saved in the backup it worked fine.Silly mistake but I forgot that I had changed my password since this backup was made.
Thank you

You'll want to contact your host to ensure that you have PHP sessions setup correctly. Checking the session save path to ensure it exists and is valid is a good first step.
Hi
strangely I've changed nothing in my php.ini file.
I checked my session.save_path and it's set up the same on my production server.
All I've done is load the webfiles and database, such that I could practice the upgrade. Same exercise worked fine earlier in the week.
something strange going on.

To confirm, you're using your community's administrator login? Were you able to login prior to attempting the upgrade? If your browser is inserting any credentials, I'd advise on deleting these and manually typing. Often this is a culprit of the browser inserting incorrect credentials.
This morning I tried to login again and now I see this
QuoteThe upgrader uses PHP sessions to store data, however PHP sessions are currently not working correctly on your server. This is an issue you will need to contact your host about.

I am having this exact same issue as the above poster. I am practicing with a test upgrade on my staging server and I cannot get the login to work on the upgrade page. I can put the following in my constants which gets me past it, but it's not ideal. Any idea why my normal login and pass would not be working?
define( 'BYPASS_UPGRADER_LOGIN', TRUE );

I have been forced not to use Elasticsearch for almost 2 years now because of this issue. Might this be resolved soon?

This is my staging site with IPB4.7
On live site 4.4 I have this set to 25

Thank you in advance.

HI
If I approve a Paypal payout in the ACP while having define( 'NEXUS_TEST_GATEWAYS', true ); in my constants file, will the payment send?
Trying to learn more about what specifically define( 'NEXUS_TEST_GATEWAYS', true ); does, in general but also specifically pertaining to making a Payout with paypal in ACP?
Any information will be helpful
Thank you 🙂

HI,
I am still working on my migration from 4.4 to 4.7
I have some members who have been around my site for YEARS.
If I start them out with Newbie / Rookie badges they are going to flip!
Is there anyway to assign the old points "or post count (whatever it was)" to this new system? so on day 1 these folks can start out with all sorts of badges and achievements?
Thank you 🙂

HI
The permissions did get zapped. So I set those up again, it helped some but my forum language details are zapped.
It's still there but the information is gone.
No errors on upgrade but I had to move the folder out of the applications directory after upgrade because a php error with php 8 caused it to white screen only.
But I moved it back after fixing the error and then I was able to upgrade but it lost some information along the way.

My live board is 8.1. No warn in ACP, no error.
Show a screenshot of that warning… may help to identify the issue.
It self dismissed as Stuart suggested it would. GREAT!
Thanks all!! 🙂

Yes, there is and it is in your logs. You have a EX0 error there.
You can see my logs on here? What did I do wrong to cause the error?

HI
I am trying to upgrade my site. I am testing things out on a test site right now.
I use your forms app. It's very important that I can keep it and the data.
I cannot get it to upgrade. I am able to uninstall it and then reinstall a fresh forms app, but if I keep the old one forms app (which doesn't run on ipb4.7) then it won't upgrade.
Are you able to help?
Thank you

It is. 8.2 isn’t.
Ok so 8.1 is ok? Weird that the ACP advises me to downgrade.

Hi
I see the warning that php 8.0 should be used because 8.1 isn’t supported. But I was curious, what exactly won’t be working if I stay on 8.1?
Thank you
