Appears to all have the same email address also. So weird.
We do have Twitter sign ups turned on, but as noted in another thread, Twitter API is not working right now for us.
Doesn't appear to be a Twitter sign up.
Very confusing.

I am planning to allow people the option to post a url containing an mp4 video file link. I will nest it in the right html for video player embed.
@Marc Stridgen I know you would not add options to allow malicious code. I was more concerned about misusing the option and inadvertently causing a risk. Wasn't sure of there were some guidelines for this feature or not. Better to be cautious now than sorry later.

Why is it that I can't embed a video attachment from gallery into a forum post?

When viewing as an admin in LIST view, files that are currently not approved or hidden are indicated as such.
I blocked out the actual content but here is an Example:Here is how the same 3 files look in the new downloads GRID view. Notice there is no indication that the $2.50 clip is actually not approved and is indeed hidden. It should be highlighting the clip in light pink and having the icon indicator to show it's hidden. Mousing over the hidden icon is helpful as the tool tip shows the reason why it's hidden. But as you can see that is not here.
If someone on 4.7.9 could confirm that the bug still exists that would be great.

IS the fix available independently if one is on 4.7.8? Since the blast radius of 4.7.9 could be large with changes to payment APIs it could be awhile till we upgrade.

Was getting this error "There was an error installing the resource, please submit a support ticket for further assistance."
was trying to update an application I paid for in the market place. There was no issue with permissions on server. I solved by uninstalling the resource and manually deleting the folder from the server. Then installed the new version and it worked.

These two issues, I would recommend clearing their cache as it sounds like they have corrupted cache.
The user wasn’t specific about which videos. Seems like barely anything is working now, so perhaps any video is not working.
I didn’t recommend clearing cache since the user says they installed a brand new browser, clean, and still had the same issue

Similar problem. On an ipad, some 7 years old, not able to upgrade beyond 12.5.7, I experience a range of issues since Saturday (April 1st this is upgrade to 4.7.8). The same issue on a multiplicity of browsers (Firefox, Opera, Safari, some of these freshly installed). All these items worked fine on Friday on the same tablet and iOS:
- Thumbnail images do not appear anymore as thumbnails but only as links.
- Videos that worked fine till Friday cannot be viewed anymore.
- Replying to a topic is not possible anymore (a very tiny non-selectable area appears where I would normally type a reply, but it doesn't trigger the keyboard interface)
- Whenever I see a small down-pointing triangle that should allow a sub-menu (as in e.g. "page 1 of 22 ▼"), it does not activate any menu.
Together, this renders the site quite useless on that device.
As stated, up to Friday, all these features worked fine on the same device.

I recently updated to 4.7.8 and now my members are ALSO saying they can't see images on ipad.
The posted screen shots and the forum posts just show the image path where the image should be.
Was there any solution?

In the upcoming 4.7.9 I understand some of the commerce third party gateways/plugins have been upgraded to use newer APIs
My question is, will any of these changes require community managers to log into their respective accounts with Stripe, Paypal OR MaxMind and make any changes?
If so will it be documented what we will be needing to adjust in each respective place?

I know the plupload chunk size is automatically configured based upon the php upload_max_filesize
Right now I have upload_max_filesize set to 10MB
Is this the best setting if people are uploading 2GB or 3GB files?

I checked the database, and as aforementioned, the account they were actually using they have since deleted; but the other 3 remaining accounts are still there.
I can see all 3 are using the same email address and registered at the exact same second. Seems more like a mistake than a deliberate attempt.
