Of course for me, I dare someone to try to hack into http://n-raged.com/forums/admin/ since I doubt they'll gain anything from it.

    Please see

As the internet slowly moves to longer URLs, with better descriptions of the content, truncating the link's text should be an option in ACP (either enable/disable, or enable and x amount of characters, with your default of ~35 characters). It's easier to see what content your link is going to if it's longer than the truncating number, especially if it's all from a domain with a long name, and multiple links from the same website's directory within the same post.

I think others have asked for this as well. Unless/until it gets added as a default, you can go to AH Modding and get their add-on which allows you to see who rep'd you. I think it's also in the resources area as well.

How about being able to [X] items from view altogether, rearrange the order and with an 'edit' option, you could add/re-add more items. With some items being unmovable or undeleteable via the ACP of course (so if an admin wants to include an ad, then they could and the member couldn't [X] it).

I know you're making a feature request, but here's something that should please your victims users...

in the ACP, go to Look & Feel, edit the skins HTML.

    Forum View / forumIndexTemplate

    Look for:

    <if test="istracking:|:! empty($data['trackingTopic'])">{parse replacement="watch_small"}</if> <a id="tid-link-{$data['tid']}" href="{parse url="showtopic={$data['tid']}" base="public" template="showtopic" seotitle="{$data['title_seo']}"}" title='View topic, started on {$data['start_date']}' class='topic_title'>{$data['title']}</a> Replace with:

    <if test="istracking:|:! empty($data['trackingTopic'])">{parse replacement="watch_small"}</if> <a id="tid-link-{$data['tid']}" href="{parse url="showtopic={$data['tid']}" base="public" template="showtopic" seotitle="{$data['title_seo']}"}" title='View topic, started on {$data['start_date']}' class='topic_title'><if test="$data['go_new_post'] === true"><b>{$data['title']}</b><else />{$data['title']}</if></a>

That will give you the same effect. :)

I'm sure there's a way to do it via CSS, but would still have to make use of the logic.

Your interpretation of what WallBase said is your own. I take it to mean that so far, he's had no problems with it so to him, it's working perfectly.

So how about calming down some, it was really unnecessary to call him ignorant.

Wolfie reacted to bfarber in When will 3.0.2 be released?
Well, I suppose we COULD have held up the IPB 3.0 release for the relatively small minority of customers who use subscription manager. However, I think the majority of our customers are glad that 3.0 has been released, minus a feature that is being released separately.

Subscription manager is nearly done. MSSQL is in development. We simply decided to concentrate on the functionality that the majority of our customers need, and hold up ever so slightly the functionality that only a minority of the customers use (but takes a while to develop).

We can't really say anything else about it at this point, nor am I sure what you would like to be said. It's in development. It's almost done. The past is done with, and we can't go back in time to hold things up to include the subscription manager.

Perhaps I am mistaken on this, but I was under the impression that IPS was originally going to just do away with the SM altogether until it became known that many sites make use of it. Regardless though, once it's released, it's supposed to become a community project, so it can/will get extra features/options added to it, making it well worth the wait because it will do more than before.

We are working on solutions for this service. There is an added cost to run a hosted-service like the spam monitoring so there must be a price factor there. We will sort something as soon as we can :)

I was thinking about this myself the other day, that's it almost unnecessary to have signatures show in such a compressed group of participants. Would like it to be UserCP option though.

Lindy, what about something where the user can check off a list of things that match their problem..

Please choose from the list what best matches the issue you are having. ( ) Is your board offline, inaccessible or giving errors? ( ) Are you having a problem getting into the AdminCP? ( ) Has your board been hacked, attacked or in some other way compromised? ( ) etc ( ) None of the above. Picking the wrong item from the list can cause delays in your ticket. If you are unsure of what to pick, then pick none of the above.

A few like there where the person can choose what best matches their problem (similar to the list you have but could be after they have submitted the ticket the first time and before the final submit. "None of the above" could be pre-selected and would cover things like low priority items. Obviously it's hard to cover all high priority items, but if there are 3 for high priority that are generic enough to cover a wide range (but specific enough to eliminate false positives) then that could potentially help prioritize some of the tickets.

Obviously the ones marked "None" might benefit from a fast review by a staff member to see if it's a high priority so it can be bumped up in importance, while leaving the rest of the tickets alone, but no system is perfect.

Hope something in this post is of some use, be nice if it helped to improve the ticket times, even if only a little bit. I've generally never needed to submit a ticket for problems on my boards before, but I can imagine how the customer must feel when it is an important issue and every minute seems like forever.
