Hi @Randy Calvert,
Thank you for your help and directions 🙂
Please let me know where I can find instructions on installing the commerce application. We are running our community on version 4.7.2.1. because our servers are not migrated to PHP 8. How do I get the correct commerce version for our community?
PHP8 is like 12 years old now, you need to get a modern server if that is the case.
And it is much worth it as the support ticket system is awesome! You can only see the user side here, but the admin side and the features like email integration and such are great!

I'm afraid, only the default browser on the device is currently supported. For Android, this would be Chrome. I would suggest using Chrome and letting us know if you still have issues.
It works perfectly fine in Chrome and even Edge, but wasn't sure if it was known that it is poor with FF across the board.

Ya, ya, get the "who uses Firefox Mobile" out of your system, but anywho....
I have been noticing that Invision Cloud as a fairly poor loading time of Firefox Mobile. Overall it just loads around 75% and than pauses and completes a few seconds later.
This seems to be exclusively limited to the Firefox Mobile app (tested on two Android devices) and just Invision sites hosted on the Cloud system.
Not sure if I am just unlucky, but tried of two devices and cleared the browsers out with the same results. It affects my own sites and Invision' community here that I assume is hosted on their cloud.

I'll throw in my support support here as a scheduled time would be much better than needing to add tasks to my To-Do list like I do now.

"Grammarly"
This is why I dislike not having it 😅
Not sure if I can list a better example on purpose.
-
I actually have no idea why Grammerly does not work with Invision Community, but it is one of the few places left that the widgets and add-ons just don't work on. For a software that is heavily committed to content and long-form articles/blogs, this just seems like a major miss.
No idea what the problem is, but it appears to be centered around Invision itself and not Grammerly as everything else with the same editor works without issue or modification. Zero is a single reference to Grammerly in search, so maybe it is just me, but Grammerly's popularity and such appear to be massive among content writers.

You would need to review those image resize settings in ACP > System > Posting. If you are resizing images on this community and not others, you’ll want to testing this by disabling that
Would that be the "Maximum image dimensions to save" setting? That is set to Unlimited.

These are my server status (at least what I can see)
QuoteServer Load 5.34 CPU Count 64 Memory Used 15.81% Swap 100.00% Disk / (/) 42% Disk /tmp (/tmp) 65% Disk /home (/home) 96% Disk /var/tmp (/var/tmp) 65% Disk /boot/efi (/boot/efi) 1% I only have access to GD processing as my host does not use Imagemagick.
EDIT: I did fix the "M".

Hello,
I have my site https://uncrownedaddiction.com/ and it has been doing well for performance, but all of a sudden it started popping up with an error that says the following:
Sorry, an unknown server error occurred when uploading this file.(Error code: -200)I know this is a self hosted site, but I am at a loss and my server support can find no errors or problems to correct. It runs on the same shared hosting that my other sites run on and has the same php ini settings that work perfectly fine for them (and worked for this site). I tried changing some of the values and no success. I can upload any image up to about 90kb without an issue, but above that the image will upload until the bar is full and then error out right at the end.I have attached my current php ini settings, but I do not feel like these are the issue as not set of values appear to work.Thank you in advance. -
I actually thought this was a bug here:
So adding my support to get this feature added to the calendar. Seems like a super basic calendar feature to have anymore.

Ah, I see the issue there from your description. The latter one does not import because the option of "first weds every month" is simply not a recurring option within our calendar application
Is there any chance this is fixed in the new events update? Also, is the new events app just an updated calendar app or a whole new app?
-
If it helps, here is a very simple Calendar via Google:
Here is the iCal:
The Slocum EMS Meeting is a single event on Sunday the 16th and imports without issue. The Slocum Fire Meeting is the first Wednesday as a recurring event and does not import at all.
This is the same result I get with Zoho Calendar. Also running 4.7.2.1
Edit: I did look at the validation tool and both Zoho and Google fail, I'm not entirely sure how to address that as I don't believe I can control any of the input fields.

Please could you provide the example feed so I can take a look for you?
Also tried with gmail with the same results.

Hello,
I am working on a new site and since Invision does not support events recurring by X day of the month. I figured that I would simply do an iCal import for those events. However, the feed is not bringing in the recurring events at all. It works perfectly fine for stand alone events, but recurring events are not added to the calendar.

Hello,
I would like to remove an app from one of my IPS licenses and I guess I need to start a forum topic to get that started.
-
Once you own a IPS item, you can access your "client area" which is a list of all the different licenses you own and/or cloud hosting you own through Invison Power Services.
You can add new products at anytime and they will simply be added to the master list of licenses.
Within those overall licenses, you can add on items (such as adding commerce or pages to a forum license) and manage items like the domain name, support, etc. for the individual licenses themselves.
Overall the buying process is the same and IPS does a very good job at keeping numerous projects separate, but also easy to manage together.

There really should not be a connection tot the template used. All a template does is change the appearance of content when viewed. It doesn’t affect anything else and certainly not in other areas (like feeds). All of those act independently. A database record doesn’t even have to be opened, so my template wouldn’t even be executed in any way.
From what you describe it sounds more like a problem with background tasks or time zones.
That was my thought and still is, but I didn't get much help on the support forum, so figured I would try here as well. Sadly I don't even know how tasks are handled via the cloud as all it says is "Community in rte Cloud Tasks".

Hello @opentype,
I have been having an issue with records getting published without actually getting published and then actually "going live" a few hours later.
Originally I though it was an RSS feed issue and reported it to IPS Support here:
However, it appears that is only relates to the database that I use SuperGrid on and is corrected when I change the database templates back to IPS ones.
The issue at hand is that when I schedule a Record to go live at say 8am, it will do everything it should appear to be live at that time for me. However, if I login to a different account or view as a guest, the article is still hidden. IP.Pages believes the record is live via both the article posting info and the publish date in the Admin CP, however, it is still acts hidden and will not actually do any of the tasks it should when a record would get published (like be visible or add itself to the RSS feed). However, in a few hours, the article will go live and the publish time will reset to whenever that is and everything will run as it should after that point.
I have tried:
- Clearing the system cache
- Uninstalled Supergrid, deleted the templates (IP.Pages templates), cleared the cache, and reinstalled.
I use Supergrid on nearly all my sites and this is the only one with the problem. It is also the only one I have on IPS's Cloud.

Unfortunately, the article should keep the previous publish date, even when editing so this would require manual involvement for it to change or there is something else acting on this field. I would advise watching it and disabling any related third party add-ons to Pages if you continue to see any issue.
I will keep an eye on it and see if I can track down the problem better.
-
To put some times on the issue.
The article was posted at 0800 via a scheduled post.
The first sighting of it from the RSS was on Feedly at 1331This is not my normal experience with any RSS feed including my numerous IPS feeds.
At the same time, the article that was published and live to the community at 0800 is now relisted as a 1323 published time.
i am utterly confused on what is happening here.

Im thinking an older upgrade gone wrong perhaps?
Is there a way to recreate SQL tablesIf the table is lost, deleted, or corrupt then restoring from a backup is about the only option to restore the tables with the data in them.
-
I use RSS feeds from my databases (just the standard ones enabled with the database itself) and it often takes hours, if not an entire 8hr workday for new content to get pushed to the feed. I never had this issue before moving to the Cloud. I don't see any setting that could effect this either.
E.G: I am still waiting for this article (https://www.uncrownedgaming.com/home/esports/the-call-of-duty-league-championship-kicks-off-today-r80/) to get pushed to its RSS feed (https://www.uncrownedgaming.com/home/?rss=1) and it has been almost 6 hours since posting.
EDIT: Actually once it does go to the feed, the feed does not seem to be pushing it out anywhere. Even basic readers like Feedly are not picking up the new articles once they are added to the feed for an extended period of time. Which I don't have any issues with on all my non-cloud projects or any RSS feed to be honest.
Overzealous Auto Embeds?
in Technical Problems
Posted
I have noticed that IPS seems to be very overzealous on auto-embedding content as an image since the last update. This appears to be an issue on self-hosted, cloud, and even here.
A link such as https://offtopic.com/ is being grabbed as an image during pasting and just showing as a broken image. This seems to be pretty common for most links.
I am on Chrome via Chrome OS (fully updated) at this time and can not confirm if the problem is also on Windows as I am at work.
