  1. I'd be happy to. I don't know which one to download or how to find out which one it is.
  2. yeah, I figured that... but it only happens on Admin log-in process? I think I know what it is... standby. Edit: Nope, not it. Is there a way to search for hook592?
  3. @Matt many thanks for assistance on this one. Going further in my PHP8 debugging: If I'm already logged in to the Admin panel and switch to php8, I can work fine. But if I'm not logged in, and the site is set to php8, I get a PHP500 error. The customer facing site works fine. The log throws this. PHP Fatal error: Declaration of IPS\hook592::parseTextForEmail($text, ?IPS\Lang $language = null) must be compatible with IPS\_Email::parseTextForEmail($text, ?IPS\Lang $language = null, $truncate = null) in /home/ddowdell/public_html/cheersandgears.com/init.php(913) : eval()'d code on line 66
  4. This happened to me after diagnosing something else and I cleared the cache manually a few times. Cache does appear to be working, but the warning is still there and I don't see way to dismiss the warning.
  5. I shut off all of my plug-ins and slowly turned them back on until the error returned. Found out it was a plug-in that I really like but has been abandoned by its author. It's unfortunate.... it's a small thing, but it was a nice feature.
  6. If you'd like, I use the Pages app to operate like wordpress, I'd be happy to help. My page is CheersandGears.com - We Heart Cars Edit: And I use @opentype's plug-ins to do it.
  7. I switched up to PHP 8.0 and started getting template errors even with the default template.... so I guess I'm stuck
  8. Does 7.3 work on PHP8.0? I was having performance issues when I bumped my site up to 8.0 and ended up moving it back.
  9. I did try that years ago with less than fantastic results... it created a lot of broken links for some reason. But I'd be open to trying again.
  10. @HappyNewUser I didn't find anything from here. I got ImageMagic installed on my server and I dialed up the compression a bit, but that's only for new files, so it does nothing for the gigs of old files I have.
  11. There is a term in software development about “eating your own dog food”. If you wouldn’t use it, why would a customer? I’m not suggesting that IPS stock inventory of this stuff, which quite frankly I’d question if anyone would ever buy, I’m saying they should have written the API to link to Printify or whatever dropship store they’re using and actually done something useful for the software as a whole. No admin wants $16 IPS logo socks. A bunch of admins would be interested in dropship APIs I’m sure.
  12. They certainly had several hours free for this.... Products – Invision Community ... because I'm sure some admin asked for a $16.50 + shipping pair of Invision Community logo socks from Printify. They didn't even use their own Ecommerce software for the store.... just threw up a Shopify store.
  13. If this were the single instance of something like this.... you'd be right. But this has been a mutli-decade long issue with IPS over a multitude of feature requests.
  14. It's been approximately 48,228 hours since the original request was made. Multiply that by, what..? Probably 4 developers and you've got 191,912 hours. So yeah.. take out holidays and weekends, and they've only had 150,000ish hours to work on a function that already exists in two other sections of their code. You'll probably we waiting just as long, or longer, for your 10 features as well. It's the unfortunate reality of Invision Power and has been for years.... unless one of their enterprise customers wants it, it doesn't get done. Us peasants here on the ground don't matter.
  15. I normally don't get this much because I have used @CleanTalk's plug-in for a while. There was an issue with it on my site and the spam was getting through, but their stellar support has resolved it. I don't feel that disabling guest posting solves the approval queue user experience issue either.
  16. This thread was started 6 years ago and two of their other apps already had the feature at that time.... I think saying that they're ignoring the request is pretty fair.
  17. Another 68 spam posts in my approval queue... 136 mouse clicks to clear them all.... So, I ask again... Can someone from Invision explain either, 1. what I'm doing wrong, or 2. why this is a good user experience? Why can't I batch select from a list and delete 25 at a time? Another video of me deleting posts 63 - 0 for Invision's viewing pleasure....
  18. Yes, that one. The plug-in is free, but you need to buy the yearly subscription for $8. If you're not an international site you might want to buy up to the plan that lets you blacklist certain countries. It's slightly more, but still very worth it.
  19. At worst, it is false advertising. The cloud is NOT an upgrade. More money for less.
  20. @marklcfc - get the Cleantalk plug-in. It's $8 a year and works really well to block bad bots.
  21. Can someone from Invision explain either, 1. what I'm doing wrong, or 2. why this is a good user experience? I started with 212 of these, so that means over 424 mouse clicks. Only 1 of those 212 was a valid post. Why can't I batch select from a list and delete 25 at a time? That would be about 10 - 12 mouse clicks to get them all.
  22. Bumping this topic because I have 212 spam posts in my approval queue and no way to mass select them and delete them. Can I forward my treatment bills for repetitive stress injury to IPS?
  23. Hi, I'm getting this error repeatedly in my error log and I think it's from this app. and similarly The only reason I think it's this app is because I see the hook feedStoreContent which I believe is part of this.
  24. So I just upgraded @HeadStand's Social Feeder app starting at 2:51 my time. Site is being super slow to load. I haven't yet hit the clear system cache button. I started a screen record so you can see the performance change. This is just after updating an app and the site has slowed to a crawl. Then you'll see me clear the cache... the first page loads slow and then it's back to normal speed.
  25. This consistently does it for every app. Doesn't matter if it is an IPS app, marketplace app, or manually uploaded app. What gets slow is server response times and loading of pages... just navigating from page to page as a user... it could be in Pages or Forums.. doesn't seem to matter (I don't use much else though, so haven't tested outside of that). It also makes the Admin control panel super slow. It gets slow enough that my Jetpack monitor alerts for Wordpress sites on the same server start going off saying my site is down. I clear the cache from the Support Tools page and everything starts working fine again. But it really is every time.
