This is just an observation I made while working on this - initially thinking it was a bug in my own application, I've gone back and tested it out further and it's reproducible in the vanilla code. Note: I'm not requesting or expecting a fix, and the scenario where this is observed is not something I would expect someone to have in place on a live site. Steps to reproduce: Allow your guests group to post content Allow your guests group to upload attachments Set 'Allowed file types' to 'All files' (alternatively, set 'Allowed file extensions' to allow the upload of video file extensions such as mp3, and audio file extensions such as mp3 or wav) Access site as a Guest and create a topic Upload a video file and an audio file in the editor Click the uploaded files so they are added to the editor Click the Play button on the video player- video plays Click the Play button on the audio player - audio doesn't play (in Firefox, you can click the Play button but nothing is heard; in Chrome, the Play button is greyed out) Submit the topic Still as a guest, view the topic - click the Play button on the video player- video plays Still as a guest, view the topic - click the Play button on the audio player - audio plays

First of all, run PHP 8.0 as it says as the top...if you switched back to your prior PHP due to the blank page, then switch back to the problematic version and run the checker.

Download this -> Upload it to the root of your installation. Run it. Action anything it tells you is wrong (if it does), otherwise you will need additional help.

Thanks, I suspected it would be a local attached file. The application currently has no effect on attached files - IPS is responsible for the player displayed (it's created at the time of upload - introduced in IPS 4.6) and I don't influence that player at all. However, as I did when IPS added native video for uploaded videos, I am going to be adding in a modification to allow settings to be applied to attached audio files too. That will be added when v2.2.0 is released (no ETA)

Correct. But you indicated that you stopped using it due to incompatibilities...are you just indicating that it needs a compatibility update to allow installation on 4.6/4.7, or did you experience an issue with the actual application itself?

They're your own phtml/css/js files, not an app. Nothing 3rd party suggested. I suspect you think I have linked to Dev Toolbox, which I haven't.

OK, gotcha - at present, you can apply a set of limits to either the first post in a topic, to replies to a topic, or to both - but it's the same set of limitations. Those limitations are applied at the group level - example: Set your 'Members' group to have limitations that are forced when they post either a topic, a reply or both. Set your own group to not have any limitations forced.

This issue wasn't observed until after you had released 4.7.2, otherwise I would have brought it up during my many beta upgrades...just saying.

Could you elaborate on that, please? Do you mean additional limits other than the ones already there?
