  1. If there's a way to do it, I've missed it. I would love to have donations include a custom field (or two). We would use it for a "business name" or "donation in memory of ..." or "treat as anonymous" type fields.
  2. I have a (rarely used) store item for donations that lives as a product in my club's dues renewal category. I originally set it up as a $1 item and the member could set the quantity to establish the magnitude of their donation). I just had a member donate $35 and I just received (as did the 'notify on purchase' email address) 35 copies of the donation notification. Oops! I hope the donor didn't get 35 copies. Oog. Is there a way to either limit notifications to one per product (not quantity OF that item) or alternatively, to have a store item with an arbitrary cost?
  3. I have gotten that message too. At the moment the task lists shows it has Never run. Running manually it says "running" for a while and when I come back it says Never run again. I tried to rerun it to get a clear timestamp to look for in the error logs but when I attempt to rerun it manually again I get "2C124/2 The task is already running and cannot be ran until it has finished or the lock is removed."   5. Good idea. Task says "not currently needed" but I ran it anyway. No joy. The log shows Which I imagine came from the profile sync setting. App seems to think it's all caught up 🙂

  7. Recently updated to 4.6. Been waiting for the markers to rebuild and show up on the main map (2,000-ish markers) but it's been a few days and nothing so far. Not sure how long that should take; the site has seen enough traffic to background process all posts/comments/reactions for the achievements thing for whatever that's worth. Is the display of the day/night overlay tied to marker display? I ask because the overlay does not show either, in case that's a clue. Markers for location-based clubs show fine and the member markers can be browsed from the table list. Nothing on the main community map, nor on the profile mini-maps. Have cleared the site caches. Tested from various browsers. I don't mind waiting as long as it takes, but between the day/night overlay and the number of days I thought maybe I'd better ask if it sounds normal or not.
  8. Same here. The review is mentioned ("we sent a request to your email") in my facebook developer dashboard thing, which makes me think its possibly legit. Though asking for logins by email seems completely wrong and I would have thought there'd be a form ON the facebook side to provide test account credentials. I'm thinking I may ignore it until the facebook login breaks (if it does) and then just tell my folks "Sorry, fb integration went bye-bye" and think good riddance. I have mixed feelings about facebook, in case it's not obvious 😛

  10. I always wonder if the security issues are particular to the updated version or extend to 4.5. While I'm waiting for a couple of key third-party apps to be updated to 4.6 compatibility it's worrying to have to make the choice between breaking the community by updating early to get a security patch, or waiting as planned until developers catch up and seeing that rather emphatic red banner every day.

  12. I'm getting "Something went wrong" error using the marketplace Install Update link. I can try tomorrow to install manually.

When a new entry is posted it appears in my /discover feed (excellent) … … but the link … https://www.cairntalk.net/competition/entry/145-dixie-ready-for-the-road-trip/?do=getNewComment takes me to an error page. Sorry, there is a problem We could not locate the item you are trying to view. Error code: 2S136/I If I strip of the ?do=getNewComment manually, the page loads as expected. Not sure if this is a core or app issue, or what template and where to strip out the NewComment action.

On my dog club site the existence of all those "invoices" causes consternation at regular intervals - every time we get a new treasurer, or a treasurer looks at the commerce section after a long absence. I usually get a frantic call about all the people who owe us money but haven't sent it, or all the "failures" of the site since there are all these incomplete invoices. It even freaked me out the first time I noticed them, way back when ... It might be a nice idea to have a "save for later" button on store items (that might be a service or benefit to users) and maybe some followup marketing or prompts *might* be plausible against those but I would never in one thousand years send a note to any of the spurious invoices that currently exist.

  17. Thank you, missed it 🤦‍♂️. Future feature? For recurring auto-competitions would love to have a default image for when the next competition spawns.
  18. Recently updated to 4.5 and installed latest update via marketplace etc. For some reason the All Competitions page (/index.php?app=competition) is not showing the images as it used to do. Tried default theme, couple of browsers (safari, brave, firefox — desktop and IOS) all no-go. Ran support tool, no-go. Display of entries fine; voting works, etc.. Pointer to what I've overlooked welcome 😛
  19. If available already I missed it. I would like the option to upgrade CiC storage space without necessarily increasing users. My forum is small but has some longevity so the disk storage slowly creeps up even as the active users stays fairly low and constant (not counting rogue bots) over time. I believe the last time I hit my storage limit all access to my site stopped, with no proactive warning. I am very close to my limit again and will need to increase my spend $120 more per year to get 4Gb additional media storage. I suspect my coffeemaker probably has more than 4GB memory. I am aware of Amazon S3 for disk storage and successfully set it up to play with it. While I love getting a monthly bill for $0.43 🙂 I am on CiC hosting because my goal is to take advantage of the worry-free maintenance. Longterm personal maintenance of S3 buckets for me does meet that goal. Inevitably Amazon will some day roll out some API or or other change that will (a) break all my images and (b) fry my brain trying to understand how to fix my bucket settings.
  20. Random note: last time I deleted a photo for someone at their maximum for that competition it seemed like the count did not reset to allow a replacement photo.
  21. Possible Feature Request: Move entry. Whenever I have two contests running at the same time (for example, one monthly, one year-long) one or more folks inevitably upload their entry to the wrong contest and then ask if I can move it. Moving an entry would be a handy mod action.
  22. If I attempt to modify or even create a block based on the widget, the countdown disappears.
  23. This is probably me misunderstanding how IPS works. Sorry if this is basic IPS stuff. Often I can take a plugin widget, use it as a base for a new block, then do some formatting of the block (for example reformat text, hide the excerpt, move the comment bubble, etc.). I do that by using the base widget as a starting point and then editing the cloned code. I would like to make use of the event countdown and RSVP enhancements 👍 with some minor custom adjustments to the widget layout. I can't seem to modify the widget though. In IPS's block creator when I start the process using the widget it of course looks as designed. Then I select Use as a base for a custom template which clones the code into an editable block, but I immediately lose the countdown (on a page after saving, not just while editing). I assume that I'm disconnecting from some necessary JS or something. If this is an IPS core type question please forgive me and I'll ask in technical support. Love your work and my desire to tinker is not a reflection on your application functionality 🙂
