Well, I had already tried the code the way you posted, and it was still skewed. And nothing was centered also.
But wait a minute.... When I use your center code for the ad, my having the ad code above <div id="ipsLayout_mainArea"> works. And the map is fine,
Although now I am starting to like the ad placed between the block and left margin where there is a side block now (centered elsewhere). But that won't work because IPS won't fix that.
Wow you really know your stuff.

Good luck! This app is on GitHub, you are more than welcome to fork it and make your own version of it.

But you also have to think about those users who don't want their public location exposed. Then this would have to be an opt-in feature, which is kind of pointless as it takes the same amount of time to manually add themselves. So I'm saying no to automatically put users on the map based on their IP address (which is a very inaccurate too). But it's definitely possible to add such a task with a plugin, so you're free to get a developer to make it for you.

btw. the cause of my problem was a bug in the application regarding the handling of the FURL configuration (should be fixed in the next version as Martin.A mentioned to me)
A big thank you for the great and fast support from his side :]

Browser cache. Delete it after you switch language.
I have no intentions to keep two versions of the same app up to date. Why should we spend hours adding features that don't benefit all our users? Do keep in mind that this is sort of a "Community Project". Those who want to can contribute. And if we did do a "Pro" version, how do you suggest we split the income? Just post your suggestions here, here, or here.
I wont comment on the Russian language pack "case".
Now onto something exciting, I'm currently working on moving custom marker management from the ACP to the public side. Regular members will be able to add them, if they have permission. One question from me to you regarding that. Is there a need to be able to comment/review these custom markers? Please explain why.
And it's ready When It's Ready™.

Misread your first post. Thought you meant the "Members" phrase, which do change. Custom marker group titles are currently not translatable, but they will be in the next version.
Mod approval will be added. It'll behave just like any other content, except for a couple of things.

Member Map
View File IPS 4.4 ONLY
For IPS 4.3, use version 3.5.7
Member Map is an application that allows your users to put their (Exact or approx) location onto an interactive map. Member Map has a permission model so you can limit which groups can add to the map.
As an administrator you have the ability to create custom groups where your community (when allowed) can place other markers in the map, for example if they would like to post the location of an upcoming meet, exhibits, shops, etc.
For developers
If you are a developer and you store location data in your app that you'd like to show on the map, you can now do so creating a membermap/Mapmarkers extension. Instruction on how to use it is included in the auto-generated file.

That's an easy one. Will add that in the next version
The one in the member group settings, right? Forgot that one when I fixed the one in custom marker groups.

It's showing you that because the table definition on your server is different to what's defined by the app. The "UPDATE" query is generated to prevent issues with NULL values, as this column doesn't allow a value to be NULL.

What do you guys think of this as a way to control the various maps used in the app?
