Marafa reacted to Jim M in Counters not working
You would need to investigate with your hosting provider what is happening as they should not be caching full pages or what it is that they are here that is causing this. This is not normal.

I would certainly advise on doing that first of all 🙂

Still waiting for the server support team's reply, The ticket status is still a work in progress, but now suddenly counters are working, not sure what happened
will add the update once done

That number is updating frequently by the task, not live. Wait a little or run task called viewupdates.
You mean that number displaying in the widget? 🙂
It's cached, so wait a little or refresh them from a Support tab in the ACP by using a Clear System Caches button at the right of it.
Everything is fine in the end.

I got it, thanks
i believe the message should be updated as it is confusing

You have an 'optional patch available' right there - the 'top-left box' that isn't really a top-left box.

This is the "top left box" (more like middle left) you find under AdminCP > System > Get Support. Just click the Fix This button.

Marafa reacted to Jim M in Moderation history links leads to main topics
Separate to this issue, while I was in your ACP, I noticed that you have a significant number of email failures. If you have resolved this issue, you may wish to have your hosting provider truncate the core_mail_error_logs table as it is significantly large.

Relating to this issue:
Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention! I can confirm this should be further reviewed and I have logged an internal bug report for our development team to investigate and address as necessary, in a future maintenance release.

Marafa reacted to Jim M in Moderators cannot lock topics
ACP -> Members -> Staff -> Moderators -> edit whomever you want to give this to -> Content tab -> Can manage alerts?

Marafa reacted to Marc Stridgen in Pruning options
In addition to the above, if your table is now no longer actually that size, you should dismiss the message. Only if it returns should you be concerned with whether or not it has happened

Do you have access to phpMyAdmin?
If so, use it to view the database and in the list of tables, check the "Overhead" column.
The value there should be zero most times. (MySQL should recover that overhead automatically, but it sometimes doesn't.)
If the "Overhead"value for your table is 13 GB, that's something your Host needs to address.
You can run an "Optimize" on that table to get back the space temporarily, but long-term is something your Host needs to fix in MySQL so it recovers it automatically on a timely basis.

As suggested in the message, you may also wish to check your prune settings, and adjust to suit

I think a more important item to check first is what the error is saying; the email error logs table is growing rapidly.
At 13 GB, that may indicate you have repeated email send failures.
Have you checked the content of one of the log entries? ACP -> Support page -> "System Log" and "Error Log" buttons. Also check ACP -> Email Settings -> Email Error Logs button, in upper right.
As to your second question, pruning is done by a system task, it's not instant.

This would indeed be PWA so you would not receive a prompt about it.

As mentioned in your other topic, you will want to check redirects/rewrites on your server. Something is not functioning correctly here.

If you go through what others have suggested above, that will indeed get you a decent privacy policy. As was mentioned by Chris, often taking a look at what others have done can be extremely helpful too

Marafa reacted to Chris Anderson in Facebook Login app privacy policy requirements
Privacy laws will likely evolve over the coming years so it's best to keep abreast of their requirements as well.
Payment processors may also review your site guidelines and privacy policy and if it doesn't meet their internal requirements you might have your account placed on hold or closed.
One privacy policy trend is to include a brief set of explanations for each section highlighting the overall gist of it.
You need to ensure you address you and your customer's interests and all the legal and payment processor requirements you may be bound to in both a simplistic and legally binding manner which often times requires lots and lots of words as way of explanation and to minimize legal exposure.
Doing your privacy policy entirely on your own provides about a dollars worth of protection. If your exposure is greater than that then you should seek out someone with privacy expertise to assist you in creating a comprehensive site guidelines and privacy policy.

You might consider reading some of the privacy policies from some of the Enterprise customers using this software to see how they address the data they collect. They should be able to allow you to figure out what things you should address in your site's privacy policy which should put you in a better position of being approved by Facebook.
You will also have to audit every app and plugin you install to determine if it collects any personally identifiable data points and include them as well.
If you delete a user there is a possibility that an app or plugin they used might not delete or anyomize the data it collected during use. This may impact on whether or not you choose to use it or not.
