David N. Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 Something just happened. My community (in the cloud) was down (error 504 - see below) and this website (invisioncommunity.com) was giving me a gateway error. Now my site is working but very, very slow.
Marc Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 Things seem to be working well for me here at present, but I will certainly pass that on as I saw one myself a few minutes ago David N. 1
David N. Posted September 8, 2023 Author Posted September 8, 2023 (edited) My site has been back and forth between that 504 error or an unbearably slow response from the server for the past 15 mn. 😞 Meanwhile here's what I'm getting when trying to connect to invisioncommunity.com: Or when trying to react: Or when trying to upload a file: Edited September 8, 2023 by David N.

We are looking into it at present InfinityRazz, Markus Jung and David N. 3
Alex Duffy Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 I can confirm similar issues here in Ireland.
InfinityRazz Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 Nice to know I'm not the only one experiencing connectivity issues with their community. 🤣😅
Markus Jung Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 Yes, also slow loading and sometimes error pages here in Germany. https://invisioncommunity.com/ loads also slow,
Marc Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 Things should be back to normal now David N. and Markus Jung 1 1

David N. Posted September 8, 2023 Author Posted September 8, 2023 Yes, back to normal, thanks. 🙂 Marc 1
David N. Posted September 25, 2023 Author Posted September 25, 2023 My site (and this site as well) were just unreachable a moment ago. Seems to be back to normal, but this seems to be happening more frequently than it should.
Marc Posted September 25, 2023 Posted September 25, 2023 When you say frequently, how often are you seeing this?

This year that would be today, september 8, april 25, march 21 plus the two or three times that I didn't bother to report it. Granted, most of the time it's resolved quickly except for the march 21 debacle, but still it's happening more often now that I'm on the Cloud service than back when I was self hosted. Marc Posted September 25, 2023 Posted September 25, 2023 The only time you may see very quick slow items is as the cloud scales if it requires doing so. But this should be very momentarily.

Marc Posted September 25, 2023 Posted September 25, 2023 Is this showing momentarily, or for a prolonged period of time?
Marc Posted September 25, 2023 Posted September 25, 2023 This is indeed likely to be if the cloud platform is upscaling

I never had these issues when I was self hosting on a cheap $20/month shared host. WebCMS 1
Marc Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 Could you let me know the exact error message you see when you see this again please?
David N. Posted September 27, 2023 Author Posted September 27, 2023 Just now, Marc Stridgen said: Could you let me know the exact error message you see when you see this again please? Yes. Right now I don't remember but I will take a screenshot next time.
David N. Posted October 1, 2023 Author Posted October 1, 2023 (edited) This just happened again, and lasted for about 3 minutes. 504 errors from my site and this site at the same time. There's no way this is normal behavior from a $150/month AWS cloud hosting SAAS. Something's wrong. Edited October 1, 2023 by David N.
teraßyte Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 I was browsing this forum in the past few minutes but didn't get any error page like that. 👀

I refreshed my site, this site and other sites such as Google, Facebook and Yahoo repeatedly for the past 2 or 3 minutes and only this site and my site where showing the errors on the screenshots - while other websites were loading as expected. Maybe worth looking into server logs? Edited October 1, 2023 by David N.
Goza Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 I didn't see anything happened to this site, however I did get it on my site (cloud) with the 504 error like the image above. I checked https://status.invisioncommunity.com/ and it does show 2 spike jumped during that time period about 1-2hrs ago.
