stoo2000 Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Please help me  You're pretty much out of luck if you hadn't activated Google Maps V2 API in the Console prior to the start of this week. Why it was pulled prior to their published deprecate date is anyone's guess. There isn't a fix for this yet, you'll have to wait for the next version of MemberMap to be released. Pintac 1
Trevor Carey Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 I just installed this in 3.4.6 and when I click the Members Map tab on the homepage of my forum it says that I do not have permission to view Member Map. Any ideas? http://www.ccfcforum.com/index.php?app=membermap

7Bya9K&Q Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 I just tried installing this and I am getting the error that I think other's are talking about. What are the chances I install it the day it has problems. :P Any idea when this will be updated to work with v3? Thanks. A great application nonetheless.
sportys Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 ...same situation here, just finished installing the app and I don't have the v2 service option, should I uninstall?

I'm afraid this still applies. I'm sat in Dublin Airport at the moment, I'll be working on membermap in the next week.

stoo2000 Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Awesome! and thanks for your prompt response! BTW, is that a 2013 V6?That was a hire car I had on honeymoon, was a brand new 2010 v6. We don't have RHD Mustangs in the UK... Yet.. 2015 :D
sportys Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 cool, cool, cool! We run a "full service" Mustang forum with certified technicians on staff, just in case you decide to get one! I've owned 7 of them and currently drive a 2012 GT with a TVS blower putting down 700hp...
Trevor Carey Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Since the intsallation 2 days ago, and not being able to use the Members Map due to v2 and v3 issues, I also get the following message when I log into Admin CP. FURL Cache Out Of Date The rule definitions for the Member Map application may be out of date. Rebuild FURL Cache
yacenty Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 how to get it working now? All the time I get js warning that google stopped api v2
web.aholics Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Are there any news about Google Maps V3 API support yet? :) great addon btw !
Arthur73 Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Is there an alternative addon with member map functions? This addon doens't work anymore and ist completelty outdated. It still uses Api Keys, which are not needed anymore for a few years and only works with the version 2 of the Google Maps Api, which has been shutdown as version 3 is used for years.
opentype Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 "Google Maps: JavaScript Maps API v2 will shutdown on November 19, 2013" Indeed. My member map has turned into a white page. Hoping for an update. I have been trying to push my users into adding their location and now I feel bad about not being able to deliver that map anymore.
stoo2000 Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 I'm sorry for the delay, One moral here is to never believe a Google Press Release. I have a 'pre-release' app that I can upload to the MP if it will help, it's a little stripped back but should be able to handle loads of markers. Missing features would be Ability to add/edit/remove markers Custom Markers This would just be a stop-gap to give you a working map.
nylyon Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Honestly I didn't realize how valuable the Map was, it was missed by my members almost immediately on my site. Having a "display only" map as a short term solution would be better than no map at all.

nylyon Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 It pulls up a map! I suppose that there's no way for me to transfer the member data to the Bing map?
stoo2000 Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 It pulls up a map! I suppose that there's no way for me to transfer the member data to the Bing map? All of your existing member markers should be on the Bing Map
stoo2000 Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 PM me your URL please. Sadly no. I think I can see what the issue is, it's a one-off after an upgrade, the cache directory isn't created until the task runs Running the task manually will trigger the directory created, in system scheduler, under Member Map look for 'Member Marker Cache' and run it. nylyon 1
