stoo2000 Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Hi Ivan, it sounds like you are trying to access the AJAX module. Log into your ACP click manage applications & modules click 'Ip.Board Member Map' Make sure 'IP.Board Member Map' module is at the top of the list.
Pablo BJB Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Thank you for your quick reply. :) After I clicked on the 'IP.Board Member Map' link within the 'Third Party Add Ons' on the Applications page, I see only the 'Ajax Management' link. Here's the screenshot. If I understood you correctly, there should have been one more module besides Ajax Management, right?

You can either try adding that manually, or try reinstalling an app
Pablo BJB Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Yes, one called 'membermap'. You can either try adding that manually, or try reinstalling an app Great. I've added the module manually as you said (typed in IP.Board Member Map as a module name and description, with 'membermap' for the Module Key, since I do have the folder 'membermap' next to the 'ajax' folder on my server) and now it all works! Thanks for your support!
bassangler Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Well, I don't know what I'm doing. I've never installed an app before. When I install this, it appears to be fine, but when I go to "My Apps" and click on the membermap app, it throws me to the ACP main control panel page. I don't get it. What am I doing wrong?
bassangler Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Disregard. I figured it out (hint: never rename the directory to something else)
MSUKForum Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Is it possible for users to add custom markers? For example my forum is for push bikes, it would be good to have the markers for where people live but members also able to put markers down for where there is a good place to ride your bike. Excellent otherwise. :) Thanks, Nick.

slinkyaroo1 Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Good job stoo. Only two things I would recommend maybe to look at but not important. 1. A button to remove link on primary menu. I use another menu system. No big deal for me though. 2. And option to set pins colors according to member user groups. Then a button, like friends, to select the different pin options. Anyways, very good work. I am extremely happy that this system is easy enough to use for my members. Thanks again.
Azoun Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Great Mod! Feature Request As a possible new feature it would be very handy if from within the ACP admins can edit/set members locations.
*Salvo* Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 stoo2000, you deserve a billion of + for this job. I've always gave up with member map on other systems due the complexity, rescues and server load. It looks very light, simple to install and nothing to do else than upload file and click on "install". My answer is: is there a way to display the button as "pinned" on membermap on topic profile of every user pinned, and the map in the profile itself of the user? Forgive me in advance if the request was already done, and the best compliments for the great application!
stoo2000 Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 Thanks! :D You'd like to have something appear on the users profile if they have added a location to the map? *Salvo* 1
*Salvo* Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 Yes stoo2000*so fast answer this genious
stoo2000 Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 What were you thinking of, just a box with a link to the member map ? *Salvo* 1
*Salvo* Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 yes, stoo2000. Exactly what you've said (example the "pin" used for the map, and a "Member map" as description). It should be nice really.
MSUKForum Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 How possible would it be for members to add custom markers? :P Please! :D 1. A button to remove link on primary menu. I use another menu system. No big deal for me though. If you go into the Applications area of your ACP, then edit the Member Map you can choose to "hide" the option off the menu. :) It's a default setting for all applications.
stoo2000 Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 It's something I can look at... Not sure exactly when that will be, I have a lot on with work and IP.Tracker at the moment ;)
rbiss Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 This is great stuff, thanks. When a pin shows as green do you know what that means (as opposed to the regular reddish pin)?
stoo2000 Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Green pins are people that are on your friends list. rbiss 1
rbiss Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Is there a way to put a photo or link (use html or bbcode) inside a custom marker?
lunchbox67 Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Is is possible to sort by the custom markers? Like you can sort by friends?
ørret Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 I like how you can update the map as you travel ;) and it will also show in Spy, so that the news reach the masses! :D What would make an awesome feature is that you also could type in a reason for the change of location, and that this also was displayed in Spy ;) Not really a feature that is "needed or important" but would be cool.
