Posted November 18, 20168 yr Support topic for: Pages SuperGrid is a set of Pages templates and a complete solution to make your Pages databases (with articles, directories and so on) appealing and engaging. What’s needed: IPS 4.1 in its most recent version with the Pages application A pages databases that uses the stock Record Image field and has images with a sufficient resolution uploaded through that field. (Technically, the templates also work without images, but it’s an image-centered design and works best when most or all records have images.) Which templates are included: A beautiful grid-based Front Page template with two records featured at the top — for when your database is set to article mode. A beautiful grid-based Listing template replacing the dull forum listing design — for when you open a category or have a database without categories. A unique Record View template with a large header image — for when you open a specific record. A category listing template – in case you use more than one category. 2 Bonus Features included: Twitter Card support! Yes, you read that correctly! The SuperGrid record view template adds Twitter Card support to your records. You just have to provide your Twitter handle. Tweets with images have a significantly higher click rate and with Pages SuperGrid any link to an article in your database (which has a record image) will automatically get a beautiful Twitter Card like this: Block template! Create blocks anywhere on your site – pointing to your database – and make them as beautiful as the database itself. A block template with options is included in the package.
November 18, 20168 yr I'm already looking forward to testing this out. Just in time for some updates I've got planned for January.
November 18, 20168 yr I I did beta test. Pages SuperGrid works perfectly with 4.1.17 Alpha. Congratulations @opentype. Excellent work
November 19, 20168 yr Also did the beta test and it worked great! I'll be purchasing this very shortly!
November 19, 20168 yr Maybe a bit of an off-topic, but would it be difficult to convert Tutorial database to pages and use this layover? Or even better, use this layout for other apps as well, not only Tutorials, but Gallery, Blogs, etc?
November 19, 20168 yr I'm working on a new outdoor-site,and might be using this addon in stead of the grid-one I have on the other two. I bought to support development. Does anyone have it on a live site yet?

I've got one of my databases here setup for it: http://ohgunowners.org/business-listings/ohio-ffl-firearm-business/ and now this one is live: http://ohgunowners.org/business-listings/ohio-ccw-instructors/ Working on getting some others converted over to it as I get time. November 19, 20168 yr I wouldn't suppose anyone knows how to add a field that will automatically show which category an item was posted in? and then display it? I did it before but can't remember how now Edited November 19, 20168 yr by Netherlord
November 20, 20168 yr Will you be working on making these templates mobile and tablet friendly?? I notice some issues with avatars and ratings that's all! Ruins the nice looks!

I had a personal issue that caused other issues. As i had been testing! I do have one thing i am unhappy with however. Not technically a bug but might be worth mentioning. On mobile the author, avatar and posted time leaves too much of a white space for me. First image is how it is for me. Even with the toggle settings, the white space is too much! The other 2 images are what i was aiming to create with css but it broke so much so i scrapped that idea. But i am including because they do look good? and might give you idea's Not major but worth mentioning like i said. Edited November 20, 20168 yr by Netherlord
November 21, 20168 yr {{$SG_fallback_image_url = 'https://url/someimage.jpg';}} work only for new articles or for those that already exists ? I cant get this working.

I cant get this working. Should work for every article. It’s a live check for every entry. Make sure the image URL is correct and that you are looking at the right template. That setting is available for the front page and the listing view and needs to be set in both individually. If you still can get it to work, I would have to check it out in your ACP.

November 21, 20168 yr what is the entry that holds listing view settings ? I cant find Supergrid Listing > recordRow Edited November 21, 20168 yr by ququruku
November 21, 20168 yr Author Yes, that’s the one. There should be 4 SuperGrid templates in the template manager and for the listing view with the 3x3 display of all articles, you would have to change the settings in Supergrid Listing → recordRow
November 21, 20168 yr find it thx. Great stuff Above all - it speed up frontpage loading (tested with gtmetrix and PageSpeed Insights). Is there any option to get all fields show in exact same dimension without those first 2 articles in bigger size ? Edited November 21, 20168 yr by ququruku
November 21, 20168 yr Author There is no option like that at the moment. You are of course free to modify the HTML in the templates at your own risk.

Sorry to jump into the support topic from @opentype, but make sure your URL is pointing to the right destination. For example, if your IPS suite is located inside a folder (eg. /forums) on the server, then you may need to direct to http://www.mywebsite.com/forums/image.jpg. That's the only reason why a direct link wouldn't work.

The database ID gets added every time you import an new XML file. So the templates don’t get overridden if you install it again or the next update.
