I'm looking for a plugin that will force all members to update their email and then verify it as it would on registration. I've had email verification disabled for years now and I get a lot of email rejections that spam my inbox so I'd like to re-enable it and ensure all emails are up to date.

I think this would be a great option.

You can move all members to "Awaiting Validation" group, and then restrict community usage for "Awaiting Validation" Group... So Simple.

This does not allow members to update their email.

I've just hit it a try, and found that it's possible to change mail while member is still validating...

Keep in mind that there isn't a 'validation' group so you're going to need to elaborate on what you've actually done here. How have you moved someone to the 'Awaiting validation' group exactly?

If you were on 3.4.x then I'd suggest the following - I use it on my current site, and it's drastically improved things by reminding people what their email is every x number of days, and then providing them an option to change the address.

Maybe contact TSP to see if it can be updated for IPS 4.x?

Well, I've contacted TSP.. and he has gently accepted to give me a permission to update it...

I'll develop a new plugin with similar idea
