Now I see this in the background?

Is that percentage increasing over time? I see you've already sent me a pm also. Would it be possible for you to include acp login details so I can take a look?

Hello, I have purchased this application, and I cannot wait to get it working, this a life saver for us admins who have chosen to allow images by url in our communities, thanks for this!

I am having some issues however, when I click on "Rebuild" I have a blank page that appears, as if the site does a temporary crash, however I am able to back browse and get back into my admin panel.

Here is the url after my domain at /admin/?adsess=ceeb14tknvp141pvqhpiqod6a7&app=rebuildtools&module=tools&controller=tools

Is this a directory issue or something else happening? I can provide login creds to our test site if you'd like.

Thanks for any help.

John

Yes if you could PM me acp and ftp login details. I've recently overhauled the rebuild code to be a LOT more stable and would like to apply the changes and check the rebuild in progress.

Hi Mike,

Any news on the upcoming update? I am moving also to HTTPS and I have tons of external images. Just want to know if I should wait for the new more stable rebuild code or go with the current. Also, will the new version handle 404s in some way as mentioned earlier?

I would highly recommend waiting as this latest version includes quite a few improvements. Should probably be ready some time next week. No 404 support but I'll see if it can be included before the next release.

Thanks, I will wait. As for 404 support, I believe nothing fancy is required, maybe the pic can just be replaced by a text that the image is no longer available.

Are you comfortable testing a new beta build? If so, PM me and will organize the latest version. Alternatively, if you can provide acp and ftp login details I can run through the rebuild tool for you.

Yes, I'm comfortable with beta versions.

When I can I'll PM you. Thanks!

I have the same problem.

I've just updated the marketplace with v1.0.2 that fixes this bug and improves on the rebuild further. Please upgrade to this version and run the rebuild again.

does this app convert embedded images into files/attachments? @Mike John

No into pure attachments like that but it does make use of IPB4's own "image proxy" feature. See the "Serve images from local server?" setting in your admin cp for how this works.

Good day Mike, I just downloaded latest version and I am unable to locate the .tar for the upload to my site, am I missing something? Thanks sir.

EDIT: Never mind Mike, I don't know what happened, but after I tried it a 3rd time, the .tar came in, sorry to bug ya. All is good.

Mike, if I leave the rebuild application enabled, does it run through constantly or on a schedule, or only when I tell it to rebuild? Thanks!

Also, I'd like to just be assured this app is working, one of our users attaches images from his SmugMug account, is this a rebuilt image?

<img alt="20170830_163719-L.jpg" class="ipsImage" height="450" src="http://thepatriotwoodworker.com/applications/core/interface/imageproxy/imageproxy.php?img=https://photos.smugmug.com/First-live-edge-bowl/i-jGmmdhF/0/5b71f03a/L/20170830_163719-L.jpg&amp;key=6187a4049f581c65ce567606e149f062acc3eea3c1320c4ed805733226aacf9d" width="800">

And will this image forever be on my server now?

A single rebuild is needed for all legacy external images, once done as long as you have the "image proxy" feature enabled. IPB4 will handle all new images automatically for you. So once it's done and run, you can remove the app.

Yep as long as your image is prefixed with " http://thepatriotwoodworker.com/applications/core/interface/imageproxy/imageproxy.php?img= " it has been converted for you. If you notice an image tag without that prefix, it means it hasn't been converted.
