I think a great addition to the "Follow member" system would be to give members the ability to chose what types of content they want to follow from the given member.

For example, say there's a developer here I really like. I'd love to be able to follow them to be informed whenever they post a new file to the marketplace. However, they are a very talkative member, and I really don't want to be flooded with notifications every time they make a post or status update. I just want to follow their marketplace submissions.

My suggestion here is simple in concept. Allow members to optionally choose what types of content they want to follow from a given member. This would operate very similar to how the Activity Steams work,

I like this idea but would rather see what you DON'T want to follow checked off. This way if new content types/databases are added, they are included.
