stev35555 Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Is there away to have it so the shoutbox only shows on the index page and not all pages? Thanks Steve
sfinee Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 I just installed the shoutbox but it's not working. I can't seem to make any shouts. It gives me this error: nopermission Can someone help me with this? Even though i set the permissions for myself to be allowed to use the shoutbox i can't post shouts at all for some reason. Thank You
tAPir Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 Is there away to have it so the shoutbox only shows on the index page and not all pages? Thanks Steve ACP> Tools & Settings> System Settings> Forums> Hook: Global Shoutbox Display on? Select where to display the global shoutbox. NOTE: This setting won't have any effect if you are using the sidebar hook
gweny25 Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 how can i move the ip.shoutbox over the secondary nav? i could not find anything about there.
Sull5 Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Hello, I have chosen to exclude from the following pages... app=portal, app=contact, app=nexus app=ipchat Though I am not able to hide the shoutbox on registration page. I have tried adding app=core&module=global§ion=register but that does not work. Anyway I can do this ? Thanks
Axel Wers Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Suggestion for the next release: In case when guests cannot see shoutbox, there could be an information page instead of classic error page. Error page won't be indexed in search engines. I want to inform visitors about chat but don't allow to see discussion for unregistered users.
Christophe Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 Quick question hopefully, I can t figure where to set the preferences so that the shoutbox does not show on the calendar page. I found where you can set it only on the homepage but I was wondering if you could remove it JUST from the calendar and show everywhere else?

Christophe Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 Thanks I knew that setting...I guess it is either everywhere or just on the homepage. I wanted to have it everywhere BUT the calendar :) Thanks anyway

VolvoClub Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 If I click on BBCode a window pops up with this error message:Fatal error: Call to a member function articlePages() on a non-object in /www/ftp.volvo-club.ro/volvo-club.ro/admin/sources/classes/bbcode/custom/ccs.php on line 158 Any idea how to fix it? Thanks.
marcin554 Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 I have problem with a short date which I set in ACP (Tools & Settings > System Settings > IP.Shoutbox > Global Configuration) - "Today time format" is not showing correctly. In Shoutbox view I have only "Long time format" of my Today shouts. I localize this problem: File: adminapplications_addonothershoutboxsourcesclasseslibrary.php // Get a proper date from UNIX #$r['s_date'] = $this->lang->getDate( $r['s_date'], 'manual{'.$this->settings['shoutbox_time_long'].'}' ); $r['s_date'] = ( $r['s_date'] > $this->_start_stamp ) ? $this->lang->getDate( $r['s_date'], 'manual{'.$this->settings['shoutbox_time_long'].'}' ) : $this->lang->getDate( $r['s_date'], 'manual{'.$this->settings['shoutbox_time_today'].'}' ); But I don't know how fix it? Any ideas?
ssaa911 Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Is there any way to make it so that the latest shouts are at the bottom. And that the text box is a single line at the bottom?
sandrikor Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Links pasted into the chatbox that contain spaces, or more importantly '%20' spacers break. How the link should parse: http://www.website.com/example%20space How the links currently are: http://www.website.com/example space Is this any easy fix? :)
gweny25 Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 is there no chance, to move the shoutbox over the second_nav?
kreatyve Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Hi all.. suddenly anyone can't write in the shoutbox!! please help me, I upgraded my board to the latest version, re-uploaded all the files with ftp, reactivate the plugin but it doesn't work!!! Michel36 Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Hi all , Is there a way to make the smileybox bigger then it is now ? Thx and nice day all. Greetings
irishbikerforum Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 Theres a shed load of unanswered questions, so I am probably wasting my time asking, but if a mod deletes someones shout, is it possible for me to see that record of what was deleted ? (I have checked the moderator logs, and the shoutbox actions are not logged there.....) Thanks very much.
Sull5 Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 I don't think you can ^ I'm also wondering where the support is for this, says 'Support Topic' but since I have been viewing this thread there has only been questions and no one answering questions that knows the shoutbox in depth ? Thanks
Elly Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 A few of my members have problems with shoutbox auto bbcode parsing. Example: <p>Example message </p> Another example: ahh !! ><!! <3 This happens at random and I have no idea why it happens. Any idea?
ShriKumar Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 I installed Shoutbox1.1.3 and wnen I try to shout am getting the following error: Fatal error: Call to undefined method IPSText::removeMacrosFromInput() in /home/chadaya1/public_html/taravad.com/admin/applications_addon/other/shoutbox/modules_public/ajax/coreAjax.php on line 252 Can anyone help me to get the shoutbox run in my forum
AndyF Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 To answer a few questions (and I don't know Shoutbox inside and out) There are no moderator logs recorded as far as I am aware, so no it will not log mod actions. The "Fatal error: Call to undefined method IPSText::removeMacrosFromInput()" usually happens if you are using either Shoutbox 112 on 312 (possibly 313 or 314) , its basically a mismatch of Shoutbox version and board version. If you are using board 3.1.4, you must use Shoutbox 113. If you are using say 312 (I am not 100% sure on the exact version) you will need Shoutbox 112 (downloadable from the same page) although it is better to keep board up to date too really.
emberintherain Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 Does anyone know how to change the height of the shoutbox global hook? I realize that this topic isn't getting much attention from the creator but anyone who could help would be a great help to me. :) Thanks, Shawn
Elly Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 Does anyone know how to change the height of the shoutbox global hook? I realize that this topic isn't getting much attention from the creator but anyone who could help would be a great help to me. :) Thanks, Shawn on HookGlobalShoutbox template, there is this portion of the template: <div id='shoutbox-shouts' style='height:{$d['shout_height']}px;overflow:auto'> {$d['noshouts']} {parse template="inactivePrompt" group="skin_shoutbox" params=""} <table id='shoutbox-shouts-table'> <tbody> {$d['shouts']} </tbody> </table> </div> <img src='{$this->settings['img_url']}/spacer.gif' id='shouts-global-resizer' border='0' height='6px' alt='{$this->lang->words['resize_shouts_area']}' style='cursor:n-resize;width:100%' /> The "height:{d['shout_height']}px" can be substituted with a number and erase the <img> tag. This should make the height static.
