Hello - My organization is considering launching our community on the Invision Community platform. Is there any way to do this? I can block specific addresses, but I see no way to block everything but an approved list. I am being hit by an army of paid spammers in India. Since they are not bots, they get by the stuff aimed at bots. However, they do tend to use crazy email addresses, like bjack03dec@airlines-number.myftp.biz As a temporary solution I wanted to only allow a short list like gmail.com, yahoo.com, hotmail.com, etc. Yeah, I know I’d be blocking many legit people, but they are a tiny minority using company emails and such. Right now I just need a stop gap to stop this deluge, and this would help a lot.

I'm converting from SMF, I've reached the final stage but haven't progressed in the requested information. Instead of SMF's file, I'm pulling directly from a database I've imported. My friend said he passed this place by random road before. But no matter what I try it always stays the same error. What should I do? Avatars vs. It's not necessary to pull it, even if it's not, it's fine for me.

I just found over 500 notification emails in my Email Error Log, all from the past 2 days when Invision migrated my community to the Cloud. All of them read: Error: php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known I checked my email settings and noticed that the Mail Delivery Method was still on SMTP with the old settings from my self-host SMTP info. I switched it to: Invision Community in the Cloud : Uses Invision Community servers to send emails. - It sent me a test email which I received as expected. On a lot of Community platforms, they have a feature that allows for users to reply to thread email notifications and their email reply gets added as a post inside the thread. This is wildly useful for engagement as there are a huge amount of people who love hanging out and replying to things in their Inboxes / mail client instead of inside a Forum. I thought I saw something about IPBoard adding this feature a few years ago but can't seem to find it. Does anyone know if it was actually added?

Dear Invision Community Team, We are having club categories like bootcamps, jobs, and Events & News. When we click on the each category..... the breadcrumbs are showing like this Home > Clubs When we click on clubs it is showing all the club categories, but when we click on each category, it is not showing the each category items and one more problem.....These club categories are not showing on the mobile version. I am new to this community and setup, so bear with me...I do work in IT for a day job, which is probably a bad thing because I think I know what I'm doing but... 🙂 We have a self-hosted forum which has a lot of old users setup. We would like to tidy it up but the member screen in the portal doesn't show the last_activity field which I can see exists in the database. Now, I can easily write an SQL query that will remove the members directly from the 'ibf_core_members' table but I don't want to break the forum because I am guessing that the 'delete' option in the portal may do more than just remove that table entry?, I was going to test this on just 1 member …
