I would like to try it out. I believe there is a problem with the skin, so I doesn't show a IPB Portal link. Does someone know how to fix this or if it can be fixed in this beta so that I can try it out?

Board Guidelines - Editor class

In the private betas the board guidelines used the editor class. Now, it only uses a textarea. I understand that the registration terms shares that setting group and you can't have two editors on the same page, so the board guidelines should have the editor class instead of the reg terms since they are going to be much more frequently edited. Or just move the registration terms to another setting group like it was... not sure why they were combined again for the public beta, and what made you decide to use it on the reg terms and not the board guidelines. Please change it back :)

Hello, When the beta released, it was too late in my time zone, a moment ago I want to login to the ACP and I did my best to remember the admin password but failed. I have set some changes in ACP and I really don't want to reinstall it, does anyone has any way to recovery the admin password? many thanks.

Being able to unsubscribe from within topics. Sometimes when this discussions comes up it also brings up the "but that would add an extra query". An ACP option to switch this off would probably take care of that little issue, just like with 'Users Browsing this topic' etc. Hope to see the feature added at some point. Overall I'm very pleased with the feature set of IPB 2.2. I'm really looking forward to start playing around with it. :)

Forums never stop loading?

I just noticed that here on the new 2.2 version some pages never seem to stop loading in Firefox (not sure about IE). All the information loads fine but my browser sits and thinks and never stops. Anyone else having this problem?

If you click "next" and "previous" under the smiles (uh... emoticons?) sometimes it goes all the way foward and back, sometimes it only goes back a couple smiles.... really weird. FireFox 1.5.0.7

Bulk Email + Rich Text Editor

Where are the links to the subforums on the parent forum view? My forum has alot of subforums, and I created a couple on my test board, and the links are not in the main forum view. Has that feature been removed? Or is there a setting somewhere?

I can see that your really trying to integrate the modules more tightly with IPB now, but the search is still lacking in this respect. It would be nice (ACP settable) that the search page, or a seperate specific search page could detect which modules were installed, and would search those too. A bonus would be to allow each mod to have a file that defines the MySQL table of its searchable records, fields which can be searched (e.g. name / title, comments, entry / description) and how to display the output - this way a gallery image would also have a small thumbnail, a download would have a download link, a module made by a third party could have something else apropriat…

Skin export \ import problem

On the default skin CSS, image links are written like this .. background: #808080 url(style_images/1/click2enlarge.gif); .. using the image directory for the default skin. When you export the skin, and import it again, with it's own image folder, the CSS still has the URL of the default skin's image folder. But here's the weird bit .. it won't let you change it! If you replace style_images/1 with <#IMG_DIR#> and then save, it reverts back to background: #808080 url(1/click2enlarge.gif); :huh:

Might be 'bloat' but just came up with idea: User can choose what buttons they want for the fast-reply. Admin can also restrict some buttons from being choosen. They may also select the emotions they want to see.Moderation option: Add what a moderator can do (normal add reply post), in quick-reply [drop down-box]. They may "also" choose what they want to see in the drop-down box.If possible, have a option (for fast/add reply) to see your most selected buttons only. More SQL informations on admin page ?

Actually on the main admin page, the only SQL information displayed is the SQL server version. I think it may be usefull for some user or for technical support to show a bit more informations like the table type used (MyISAM or InnoDB), the MySQL API used (mysql or mysqli). You can get these informations in conf_global.php but a quick overview of these settings may be good. Just a suggestion.

I want to try out the minor improvement "Applying image sets and skins during import" but I am unable to find a skin that is made for 2.2 yet plus I just want to make sure everything is working since it is a beta. Does anyone know if someone made a skin for 2.2 or tweaked a 2.1 version to work with 2.2 and where I can get one? :unsure:

Attatchments problem

l made a post and added two .gif attatchments. When l posted, the gif's were thumbnails, even though the settings in ACP say to show images. No amount of refreshing or deleting temp files made any difference, however, when l clicked on 'Quick Edit' and back again, the images show. The next time l went into the thread they were thumbnails again, and once again l had to use 'Quick Edit' to correct it, and that's how it still is.
