Davy
Does it for me as well. I believe it has to do with the image resizing.
MindTooth
Maybe a rude suggestion. But have you tryed another browser? Mostly because of the security. Not the "browser-war".Birger :)
Davy
While I'm a Firefox user - we can't simply chalk up a major problem like this to 'use a different browser'. Obviously this issue has to be addressed.

Ryan H.
FF-1.5.0.6, works without a hitch for me. Is it possibly resulting from cached Javascripts?

But it doesn't happen every time. I'm using IE 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301_1519 (if that helps).-p-
Myr
It doesn't do it with IE 7.I'm forced to use IE 6 here at work... and it locks up the computer. I have to force IE to close. Every topic with a large image that needs to be resized.
Ryan H.
IE Version: 6.0.2900.2180 [SP2]Tested topic: http://forums.invisionpower.com/index.php?showtopic=227315First view: [Direct Access] Image in question loaded fully, browser froze immediately afterward.Second view: [Direct Access] As before, browser froze immediately after displaying the image.Third view: [Direct Access] Image displayed, did not freeze. I saw no signs that it tried to resize the image, however.Fourth view: [Reload] As before it displayed the image but did not freeze immediately afterward. Half a minute later it froze, I can only assume the resizing function took until then to operate though I couldn't tell you why.Fifth view: [Direct Access] Again, image displayed, browser did not freeze. As with the third, no signs of it trying to resize the image. Possibly due to its' running from cache and having experienced an error after running the Javascript last time through?Sixth view: [Reload] Payed more attention to the 'loading' thing this time... Same as #4 -- loaded and displayed the image; the browser did not freeze until half a minute later, which I might note was immediately after the status bar changed from '(1 item) Loading http://forums.invisionpower.com/index.php?...=227315...' to 'Done.' This leads me to believe it was still grabbing the Javascript, or perhaps running through some AJAX requests.I was given no errors of any type throughout the duration of those six loads. On to another page... Just to see if it does the same thing.Tested topic: http://forums.invisionpower.com/index.php?showtopic=227159First view: [Direct Access] Image in question loaded fully, browser froze immediately after completely rendering the page. Enough of that... Essentially something in the image-resizing Javascript functions is causing IE6 to freeze. IE7 is not effected, nor is FF 1.5 and Opera 9.
