Hey, I was wondering if it was possible to merge vb 3.6.x to IPB 2.2? Is there any possible way, even whereas I have to convert to IPB 2.2 then merge? By merging I mean combining my posts and the others forums' posts so they are all on the IPB board. Thanks

I actually own a license for IP.Board and IP.Downloads. If I want to give these licenses to someone else, what do I have to do? It's not an offer to anyone, just to know what to do if I want to give my licenses to anyone else.

Hello, I am changing the skin about a lil, and i was wondering how to make the current members avatar display in the members_bar section. So apparently I can't download upgrades because somehow my licence was transfered to an account called william22(at)wolframstudios.com. But I own that domain, and that address doesn't exist! I can't stay logged into william22 (it kicked me when I tried to put in a ticket, and now I can't log back in), and now william(at)wolframstudios.com wont even log in anymore! I don't know WHAT you guys did when you switched to the new site, but wow is it messed up.

We are going to switch from vb to IPB. The community suite will be our choice because it seems like a product which we and our forum members will like. The only "problem" right now is that I am not sure if we should wait until IP.Gallery 2.2 will be released or if I should go with the latest stable release right now. Is there a certain time frame when IP.Gallery 2.2 will be released?

Whenever I reply to a topic and I'm the last person to reply, it always says that topic is unread. Now correct me if I'm wrong but, I believe most people atleast read the first post in a topic before replying... so shouldn't the topic automatically be marked read if I have replied to it? There are a few forums on my forum that I'm kind of anal about making sure I've read all of the topics in, so it annoys me to have to check mark all posts as read after I deal with an issue.

Is there a way to close a poll without closing the entire topic? I've looked and looked and couldn't find this option. Seems weird to me that we can add polls to topics but we can't remove them or close them. Has someone made a modification for this or anything like that? It would be very useful especially if you run contests on your site and allow people to vote.

I think it would be a good idea to be able to allow a new member to automatically become a member of a specific User Group (instead of and/or in addition to the 'Members' User Group) based on a field in the registration screen. For instance, if I had a 'drop down' field in the registration screen that provides two (or more) choices, 'YES' and 'NO', then when the registration process has been completed the member would automatically be made a member of the YES or NO group dependant on, obviously, the users initial choice in the registration screen. Can the developers please add an option in my controls so that we are able to set a default font while adding a reply/topic. If not it would be very troublesome to like Type the content, then highlight everything then change the font everytime.

My members as well as members of many boards use emoticons quite a bit. Currently the smilies appear in random order in the drop down list. We need an option that will allow us to custom sort the list so that similar emoticons can be grouped together and thus be easier for users to find. Thanks for considering this in the next upgrade. It would be good if it didnt always default to what it does ;) I think for each user group, it might be better if there was a switch to allow this group (or not) to display on that list. Obviously also for individual moderators , when choosing their options there would have to be an option to show on that list or not too. That way it could be used for other purposes too :D

Did you guys wanted to use the same icon on the frontpage for birthdays and the calendar on purpose or is this a mistake? Our graphic designer doesn't like that at all because we wanna use different icons when we buy IP.Board. Check out the screenshot for illustration. You might want use this one for birtdays. :) :D ^^

Now that support is dropped from the IPS forums, it would be nice to see more focus on company and product feedback. Personally i think the Community forums should be discontinued in favor of the one's on IPS Beyond. And the General Chat area on IPS Beyond opened up to customers who have expired licenses. Two benefits there, it gets more IPS employees active on IPS beyond and it might get IPS customers more interested in paying for support. Translates to more activity on IPS beyond. Once the community forums are dropped, i'd love to see that category replaced with a full main forum page category for feedback: "IPS Company and Product Feedback". The forums inside th…
