Hey there, quick question. I am having a little trouble in my admin panel. There are several instances where I try to save settings by disabling a certain option that is swatched on, yet when I save and go back... it's enabled again. Is it application/plugin-related? Or perhaps a cache setting? Or a bug? Hey there! Thanks for making this plugin. @Fosters I just purchased it, however I do not see the 'Content count' option in the admin panel. Also, when I select 'Moderate content with external links,' nothing happens. I can't input any domains to whitelist.

Hi there, purchased the plugin. Pretty cool. However, one little problem: When I de-select the option to "Hide poll results in all forums/topics," then click save... it does not save. When I re-enter the plugin, the option is green again. How can this be fixed? Thank you.

It was indeed Mod security. We disabled it and voila, fixed! Thank you!

Could it be something to do with the caching option in the admin panel? It's set to Memcached

Hello. I switched servers last night, so I am assuming it's because of that, but users can't embed social media anymore. I tried embedding a Tweet and an IG post, but when clicking Submit, the page just reloads. If I take the social media embed out of the post, it will post the text. It seems it has to deal with embedding. Any idea why this is happening?

Hello IPS fam! Hope everyone's doing ok under the circumstances. Take a deep breath, everything's going to be ok in time. I wanted to get advice on switching to a new server solution that's cost effective. Right now I am paying $620 a month for my server setup + management. Some of my peers who run IPB communities are paying much less for their server per month (even with more people online than my forum). I was wondering if I could get some recommendations as to what you guys use. Here are my current server specs. My website runs great, but as the market dips, so does ad revenue. I need to be proactive and reduce my costs right now. I have 28 more days to move as I just paid my server bill. Any input would be GREATLY appreciated. 🙏

Hi there, I have NO idea why, but my word filter in the admin panel is not allowing users to type the letter X. It changes it to ***** I even set up a rule to get it to convert back to X, but no luck. I also tried deleting the 'xxx' filtered word (Google says it goes against their terms which is why it's there in the first place), but no luck. Any idea why this could be happening?

Hi there. Google is notifying me of bad words on my site. I am trying to clean everything up because it impacts site revenue. It's listing several Tweets that use bad words. I deleted the Tweets in the posts, but's also linking directly to the Tweet. For example, this Tweet was removed from the topic, but it still exists somehow on my forum. I noticed I could only use icons that started with 'f0' All others did not work.

I also experienced this. I had to turn off all email sharing for groups as we sent out 1.5 MILLION spam emails. It was Russian-related?? If Sendgrid wasn't so cool, they could have charged me $10,000 for the overages. I'm not exaggerating - that's what they quoted me. Luckily they reversed it. Thank you to the IPB team as well for pointing me in the right direction. Was super freaked out there.

@bfarber hey there. I bought and installed the plugin. It actually caused my site to have tons of background processes in the admin panel. The plugin stopped people from adding comments, comment count wasn’t being tallied and more. I had to disable it per advice from the tech support team here at IPB. Any idea why this could be happening?

Hi there. It appears background processes are stuck according to the stats in my admin panel. There are certain threads that have 10 comments, but the homepage says there are 5 comments. Example: https://www.breatheheavy.com/exhale/index.php?/topic/773289-fans-are-worried-about-post-malone-after-he-exhibited-bizarre-behavior-mid-concert/ That thread has 10 comments, but the homepage says 5. I think cause the background processes are stuck. Any idea how to fix this? BTW, I tried to manually run the batch and it returned an error.

Ahh ok thank you. I was going crazy with the filters because I couldn't figure out why bad words were still showing up. Oh interesting, so the bad word filters won't work for bad words people left in the past prior to setting up the filter?

Hello! I added a bunch of bad word filters because I am working towards cleaning up my forum. Google Ad manager insists the pages do not have any profanity and have linked me to pages that use bad words. It shows a lot of instances of the F-word, however I created a filter that should prohibit that word from showing. However, it still does. Why is that? The f-word should not appear in this post, however it is there despite the rule.
