Thank you loads @Marc Stridgen! 🤩
For anyone with this question, here is what I see now I've limited the Guests access (I unchecked "can access the website").

I believe what you are likely wanted here is guests not to see anything, just based on what I can see there. if so, you would go to the guests group, and switch "Can access site" off. They would then only see the login

It sends email from whatever you have set up in system->Settings->Email on your admin CP. It would indeed be that which would need to be set up correctly, and you would need to contact whoever sends the mail for that email address

Thank you for your reply and about the Mail Tester website!
I'll ask my host right away and test once the DNS settings are correct. 🙂

The initiation method isn’t the most important part. The optimization methods apply to all of them.
Looking at the screenshots, your system mails go out directly from your server. So you need to make sure your DNS settings are optimized for that as well, not just for the external services like ConvertKit you use. In fact, it could be that adding DNS settings for those external service actually deligitimized sending mails from your own server. You need to make sure that all sending options are included in your DNS settings.
You can check with your host. They probably have settings and information directly relating to SPF/DKIM/DMARC …
I always optimize this stuff using the Mail Tester website. By the way: You can do 3 tests for free per day. You should end up with at least of score of 9.

Are notifications working for your other members?
Have you applied the latest patch ( ACP => System => Support ) If not, it's possible that your background tasks stopped working.

No, it should let you on right away once you remove that entry

That looks to be the ban page, but modified. The only way that can be showing on your site is if your IP is banned, in the scenario you mention. So I would advise checking the list again. If you are then unsure, please feel free to PM me your IP address when you see that issue, and ensure login details are up to date on file

Can you run the following sql query at the SQL box of the phpmyadmin for the database that you have used to install your Ipb forum?
SELECT * FROM `core_spam_service_log` WHERE ip_address = 'xyzetc'; This query will check if your real ip address has been marked as spam.
I also don't think that your ip is banned based on the error message you posted, but to make real sure you can run this query.
SELECT * FROM `core_banfilters` WHERE ban_content = 'xyzetc'; Replace xyzetc with your actual ip address in both queries. That is if you have a static ip. And if you are using a custom prefix for your database tables append it to the table names in the above queries.

    Hi @Martin A.,
The marketplace is closing. Is it still possible to buy your Community Map app at the same conditions and how?
Thanks a lot for your help 🙂

If it’s hidden due a moderator action, author won’t see it. If it’s hidden because it’s unapproved yet, author can see it.

There was a fix to this when a title is too long with the alert and it did not wrap correctly. This should be resolved in 4.7.2. Could I ask if you are on the latest release? If not, please upgrade and check this on an unmodified theme.

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention! I can confirm this should be further reviewed and I have logged an internal bug report for our development team to investigate and address as necessary, in a future maintenance release.

Please ensure any bugs are reported here in the support area. Just so we don't miss these 🙂

That’s caused by a translation which wasn’t updated to work with the recent IPS version

    Hi all,
Is there a plugin so Banned Members don't appear in Search or cannot be Tagged anymore?
    Thanks.

If by tagged you mean this @VahnPetit then IPS 4.6.9 has this fix in it:
Prior to IPS 4.6.9, they would appear - and it was a feature of my Mention list enhancements application to allow them to be hidden.
In short - if you are running IPS 4.6.9 then you should no longer be able to @mention a banned account.
