How do I turn this off? I already have a third party application that deals with account deactivation and deletion - which suits my needs far better than this and apparently the data download feature doesn't work either. (Error: Call to a member function getTimestamp() on int (0)) Or something of the like.

Percival reacted to Jim M in Fix Database when Updating
Depending on a version, there was an issue where the database check was indeed coming up false. However, keep in mind the original issue the OP had was different.
If your queries there won't go away from the Support or upgrade screen and you're on 4.6, that is likely the error and a manual upgrade is required.

Better yet - get IPS to implement this:
There should be no good reason to have to spend additional money at the price the IPS package sells for. Especially when a solid working anti-spam system exists that's easily implemented into the package.

Hello, I would like to propose 2 things that I ran into recently and I think they can be solved.
Create a button, for templates/applications and plugins, where you can cancel sending a file to be checked. I was in the position where I uploaded the text file with the update, the images and I forgot because of fatigue to upload the xml as well theme with the update. You have to wait 1.2 ... x days to be rejected, then you have to upload it again and wait again 1.2 ... x days for approval. I know, every person should be careful not to be in this position, but there may be cases where you forget something and it would be more useful both for you and for us. Add again the possibility at least for the authors of the applications/plugins or templates to be able to download their older versions. I am in the position where I have a problem with a bug that I can't figure out and I don't have an older version available so I can compare them and see where I went wrong, or if it's something else. In version 4.4 this was possible and you could download any version you uploaded, otherwise I no longer see the download button as useful when you hit see changelog , because it directs you to the marketplace.

Adding to the topic, a few more suggestions for the marketplace:
File submitters should be able to download their own files bypassing the marketplace ACP requirement. Display the “pending version” message to anyone and not only to file submitter Display the date the pending version was uploaded. Ability to mass change file prices (apply a % to increase/decrease prices to be used in Black Friday, for example). Add a list of pending versions in the My Paid Files page.

I’m not judging in any way, just listing some observations about the developer/Marketplace situation in the recent years.
4.5 tightened the rules drastically. Result: several developers left for good. price increases. Developments needs a self-hosted installation and possibly a demo website. It’s now 850 + 300 annually. Someone starting out as developer really needs some killer products to earn that back and then generate profits. Cloud testing of resources would make it even more expensive (+1,788 annually).  Shift/changes to cloud. The lower tiers don’t have the ability to install third-party products. This decreases the reach and makes running independent third-party shops less useful/profitable.  Signatures turned off. No possibility for passive advertisement through community posts.  Limited compatibility field. Sales can only be created for one version, limiting the income.  I have no magical solutions to offer, but are improvements for this something we could put on the table for 2023?
Currently, I am not very optimistic. We only have a handful of active developers left with continued announcements of departures. If it is still working well for some (?), it’s probably because of a large set of files and existing customers with renewals. But I can’t see how new developers would want to get involved in the current situation, replacing the ones who left or even growing the marketplace.
I understand the costs and downsides for IPS. Paying for code reviews, chargeback fees and of course all the support issues with third-party resources. But then again: Looking at the broader field of online software: all the big players strive with and in part because of a flourishing third-party marketplace. So, improvement could easily be a “win-win-win” situation for IPS, developers and IPS customers.

(I would have some suggestions myself but I don’t want to push the topic in a specific direction, so I am leaving it at the problem statement for now.)

Since the CSS is unavailable for quick experiments, in the last month I have been looking for other solutions to speed up site loading. Especially on mobile…
I split the Include JS template into two parts, used a preload for some resources, etc. subtle changes... and crash-free with good server responses.
This is my maximum for now...
There are more thoughts in my head - and strange for you - without me touching the CSS... ha ha ha...

Why are you even in this thread? You obviously don't care about your site speed scores, or optimizing your site to be faster. If pass/fail is good enough for you, fine.
How would it hurt you if IPB optimized their software and made it faster? It could only help your site, right...I mean it could not hurt it...could it?

I happen to be running a dedicated server with all hardware that is 6 years old and no CDN, but I did spend time optimizing it as well.
Currently my site & server, which also serves a ton of ad banners throughout my content, still outperforms probably 90% of IPB sites of similar size, and even those on CDN's without any ads.
I would estimate that my current speed scores (~71 on mobile, and ~90 on desktop) are 75% the result of CSS and template changes (that unfortunately can't be done using only the custom CSS feature), and 25% the result of server optimization.
I don't believe I've gone down any rabbit hole, I've simply paid attention to Google's own posts about how they rank sites, and have done my best to conform my site to their site speed tools, which are developed to help sites improve their site speed (and this is simply another objective way for Google to measure a site's quality). Anyone can ignore Google's own posts on this topic at their own peril.
The biggest speed issue with the current IPB is clearly on the mobile side, and many of the issues as to why have already been discussed in this topic. Rather than having everyone who runs IPB software and also cares about site speed scores have to "go down a rabbit hole" to improve their site speed, I personally think IPB should just do this and then use it as a marketing bullet point.
Updating the CSS and JS won't be easy, but the upside for all IPB users could be huge, as Google will weigh site speed as a ranking factor more and more as time goes by. Focusing on good SEO, including site speed, eliminating css/html/js errors, should definitely be the focus of any good Internet application.

    v1.3.0 is currently pending approval
    NEW
IPS Community Suite 4.7.x compatibility. Added functionality to the Tracker page to allow instant deletion of logged actions - can be either: All logs. All logs for a specific member. All logs for a specific action taken. FIXES
Fixed issue where any performed actions were logged twice, if tracking was enabled. Fixed issue where the "Redirect to another url" action was incorrectly logged as a "Delay page load" action. CHANGES
The "Rotate site" annoyance has been removed - it was a hacky bit of code which created CSS files on the fly, and troubleshooting of it will have become problematic as a result of the change made by IPS to hide application CSS files in the theme editor. If there is anyone who would like to see that return at a later point then chime in - I can possibly look into other ways it can be done via custom CSS instead, but for now...it's gone.

CloudFlare is such a wide topic, I moved this to our Community Support forum where you can ask questions to other administrators who may be using it.
CSS and Javascript are already minified by our software so you do not need to do that.

I can happily back up Matt's last post. We've heard your feedback and are aiming to significantly improve both the CSS and JS performance in a future update - but as you can imagine, rewriting 10 years of code is a very long process that needs to be planned carefully.

I also focus on good content. Content does not fall under the purview of IPB's software engineers, which is who this thread is addressed to. This thread is focused on IPB taking away the ability to easily modify the CSS files, which in turn makes it very difficult for those who do actually care about site speed to be able to do anything to address it.

Where do you find an estimate that the content is worth about 80%?
Content rating also depends on users - slow loading speed content is ignored by many users...

I can assure you that @Adlago knows how and why there is a need to edit IPB's core site files, and that we know how to upgrade after doing so.
The reason we have to edit them is because of IPS' ongoing site speed issues, which they are always at least 2 years behind in addressing, for example this thread:

IPB is mistaken if it believes that CDN's will help with site speed. After going back and forth from a CDN I found they do not help. Most of the speed issues with IPB software are inherent in the IPB application, and as @Adlago has pointed out, have to do with how IPB's JS and CSS files written and served.
This is why some people need to tinker with these files, not for fun, but for speed...no CDN (if we could achieve this without editing the core files we would):
