    Add thnis css code to the MISC tab -> Custom CSS. I'll fix it in the next version.

    #tabs_club.ipsTabs {
      color: rgb( var(--theme-area_background_reset) )!important;
    }

    Hi Rey! I just bought this beautiful theme and I am also getting this block to my entire site. The code above did not solve the problem. I see there have been updates since this was reported so it seems to still be an issue. What do I need to do to remove this and access my site? Thanks! Beautiful work!

    [EDIT] I now see that if I scroll down my site content is there! So is this just a slider panel or image box that I need to resize or remove? Thanks!

    if no hope, then press Ctr + Shift + C on the page you see the extra brackets and navigate to the elements and see which template the html comes from and then search for it...

    Since it is only on the mobile platform, I can't use keyboard combos... but I'll troubleshoot by disabling plugins. Ugh, I don't like doing this because it removes key features, but I guess it is the only way. Thank you for responding, Taman!

    Hi,

    Have you tested if you got the same problem on the default IPS theme? maybe its not related to your theme and if you can't test what's wrong and where do these extra brackets come from, then send me login info with access to your ACP apps/plugins/themes page. i can help or at least tell you whats wrong 🙂

    You are right. It's also in the default theme. What could that mean? Since this is probably not theme-related, I will report again to Support. They usually just blame plugins and move on, so it's hard to get help from them anymore. Thank you for suggesting the default test. I totally forgot I had that theme! Because yours are THE BEST.

  4. EMOTE BRACKET ISSUE

    I think I have tried to fix this before, but it remains to this day... it's been a couple of years with this issue and I can't figure it out. Someone just suggested that I do a clean reinstall of the theme. Do you think that is the solution to this, or can we fix it without doing that?

    The issue is this bracket after every inserted emoted. But it is ONLY on the mobile version of the site.

  5. holy moly, are you kidding me? It was that simple??? When I tried to get help from support, they were just scolding me for having plugins and telling me to turn them off and I just gave up. This was super easy fix. Thank you!!

    Yea, just remove the

    dsds

    code:)

    Now I wonder if this one is just as easy a fix... this is another persistent issue: the bracket after every inserted emoji, but ONLY on the mobile site. I have not been able to figure this out.

    Have you tried using the build in template search to search for "dsds" ?

    Hmm, no, let me see what I find.

    Somebody probably edited your post container template.

    There it is! Second line... So just delete it?

    Hey Vegan Gaymer!

    Users with permission to submit account deactivation or deletion requests will be able to do so under the "Account Settings" page underneath the user menu.

    Thanks! I have no idea why, but all of my permissions were reset so I had to set them again. Looks good now! Thanks!

  8. I'm confused about where a user goes to deactivate/delete an account. Do they access it through their own profile account? Do I need to create a link to a specific page? Also, I don't see any alerts for the 3 requests I received over the past year and I totally missed them. Do I have to manually check for requests? Thanks!

    In your ticket you were asking us to review your privacy policy, this is why we stated for you to hire a lawyer if you need help in doing so. We are not lawyers and cannot state whether or not your privacy policy will be applicable in your scenario.

    I apologize though that you did not find our support helpful and appreciate your feedback for future interaction.

    I did not ask anyone to review my privacy policy.  I asked if there was documentation or guides for how to how to make our facebook app compliant. Anyway, thanks.

    @opentype is correct, this is a legal document which describes your policy for handling data on your community. We would only provide assistance with technical items around Facebook's APIs. For legal documents, it is always advised to contact a lawyer to ensure that your policies coincide with laws which may impact your community.

    Yes, I know now. Support has been so dismissive and unfriendly in response to the question. It would have been so easy to just SAY THIS in response instead of telling me I need to go hire a lawyer. That's ridiculous.

    IPS won‘t provide it as it needs to reflect how YOU handle these things. What’s your process to handle privacy/deletion requests? How should people contact you? How do you handle such requests? What do you delete and what don’t you delete. That‘s all up to you. You need to flesh out these things and the put in in writing.

    I see. I think that helps a lot. I thought it was related to something about facebook. Thank you!

    The last paragraph explains exactly what to do.

    Yes, that tells me what the violation is and what I need to do, but I have no idea HOW to do it. I have a privacy policy in place that has been working for years, but this addition is something new and I don't know where to find the wording or proper phrasing to correct this.

    Make sure the privacy policy has a description of how users can request deletion of their private data. That is required by Facebook.

    I just don't know where to find the proper wording needed. I thought Invision used to provide those details, but I can't find them.

  13. I found it, thank you! They moved it, so I didn't know where to look. My page doesn't look like this. My "get support" is way down at the bottom of the page. Thanks!

    Things seem to be working fine here when clicking "Support Request" in the Client Area. If you're not getting a popup modal with options for forum or submitting a contact request after clicking the Support Request button below, you may want to clear your browser's cache:

    Hey there - I had experienced a similar issue on my own community - as a result they disabled oembed for Instagram / FB posts.

    I ended up linking them to an updated Privacy Policy and they approved my app in 12 hours.

    Do you have a privacy policy in place? Did you link to it in the app setup section in FB Developers?

    BTW - if you don't have a Privacy Policy or know how to create one to include the info they want, I would suggest going on Fiverr and hiring someone to draft one up for you. I've done that in the past for other agreements and it was a great experience. Hope that helps.

    Yes, I have an extensive privacy policy. I guess it was missing this one thing?

  15. I received this as an alert regarding my Facebook Login api, but I have no idea how to fix it? Does anyone know what I have to do to fix this? Thanks!

    Hi,

    In working to create a great Platform experience for everyone, we ask developers to ensure the apps they build comply with our Platform Policies. Your app [redacted] doesn't comply with the following:

    Platform Terms 4.b: Your privacy policy must comply with applicable law and regulations and must accurately and clearly explain what data you are Processing, how you are Processing it, the purposes for which you are Processing it, and how Users may request deletion of that data.

    During testing, we found that your privacy policy doesn’t explain how users can request data deletion. Update your privacy policy to include this information before you submit an appeal.

  16. Just a quick update that after a month of third-party resources being blamed, it turns out (yet again) that it was an Invision issue. That's okay. I don't have any problem with any bugs or issues discovered in any application or Invision, but I have to say that I think this could have been resolved much sooner if there wasn't this uncomfortable bias against 3rd Party resources. I am just happy that the issue is being resolved, but after going through this so many times, it can get very frustrating. I say that with great affection because I am in awe of all of you who do this kind of work. I just don't want to go through this again.

    Don't remove them. The plugins and apps that I personally use are what make my community viable for the community I want to build

    I don't think I've ever been discouraged from any of the apps or plugins that I use. At least never from IPS themselves but I can see how it can be daunting to get the canned answer (I have gotten it a few times myself even though I've described that I already ran through those troubleshooting steps too).

    If I didn't have, say my character manager, I'd move to a different software that could accommodate what that app can do.

    Thanks for the response and encouragement. Yes, my community would suffer a blow if we remove some of these vital additions. Plus, I love supporting developers and creators. And The canned responses are expected. They are annoying, but expected. It's the additional commentary along the way that tells me that using plugins and applications will always be a problem (even though they rarely have been).

    My community hasn't been able to register any new members for about a month. The blame has been on an application that I disabled. I disabled all plugins, all applications, and the issue remains, yet it is somehow still third-party to blame, so I am just left with nothing but a broken site. I don't know what to do. For now, I'm patiently waiting for a solution.

    This is why the Marketplace has gone in the direction that it is has. This is to eliminate such issues as there is more scrutiny over what is published and up to date.

    I am very excited about this and I hope it works soon. So far, I've had more issues than ever recently. I've been with invision for years, so I trust all of this will be sorted out.
