  1. Jim M's post in Domain Change was marked as the answer
Looks like we have assisted you in another topic and brought this to a ticket. I will close this topic down for you 🙂 .
  2. Jim M's post in Images break on custom file storage method was marked as the answer
Download (via the Downloads app) and upload would utilize the path on your server, whereas, viewing an image utilizes the custom URL so if the custom URL is not set appropriately, it could be breaking.
  3. Jim M's post in Domain Change was marked as the answer
This is all set and resolved for you in the ticket so I will close this topic 🙂 .
  4. Jim M's post in Different Mod Permissions per forum was marked as the answer
I'm afraid, the granularity that you're after here with a moderator group having different permissions per forum is not really possible here. While you can provide moderators control over only specific forums, those permissions would be the same across those specific forums you select.
I haven't tested this but you may be able to create this as separate groups and assign it as secondary groups.
  5. Jim M's post in I'm getting Error code: 2T257/1 on my homepage. was marked as the answer
You want to set your new page as the default page for the folder by going ACP -> Pages -> Pages -> on your page, click the down arrow -> click "Make default page for this folder"
  6. Jim M's post in Download Manager was marked as the answer
Can see the following guide which will cover purchasing and installing our applications for an existing self-hosted community:

  7. Jim M's post in Where do I download Pages? was marked as the answer
    Please see this guide:

  8. Jim M's post in 4.6.9 Search not working was marked as the answer
As mentioned in the blue bar, the search index is rebuilding. You can check this status by going to ACP -> System -> Dashboard -> Background Processes.
  9. Jim M's post in SVG support was marked as the answer
SVG is not supported yet for a theme logo. Some of the icons, depending on the manifest specification from the provider, allow it but others do not so we only allow it where that is possible.
There's a feature suggestion here that you're welcome to add on to with your comments: https://invisioncommunity.com/forums/topic/461372-svg-for-logos-and-icons-and-webp-for-images/

  10. Jim M's post in Can't do auto upgrades from froum was marked as the answer
The most common issue here is that your server is unable to write (or overwrite) to the files in your directory. This can be a case of permissions being wrong or the user/group ownership is incorrect for your web server. There are also some wonky issues that hosting providers have found in the past where transferring the file from /tmp to the directory was not working. Ultimately, what I am telling you here is that the issue is on the hosting side and you'll want to contact your hosting provider to properly investigate this and resolve the issue.
  11. Jim M's post in Customize forum/topic/file social media image was marked as the answer
Default in the software, you can set the social share icon, this will set the same icon for all pages when shared on social media. To set this, go to ACP -> Customization -> Icons & Logos -> Default share images

There are alternatives, like this third party plugin which allows you to set the share image based on an image in a forum topic:
(Please note that third party add-ons are supported by the author only and not Invision Community)
  12. Jim M's post in logo is too small was marked as the answer
The logo height setting in the theme's settings would be the only way to control the height of the logo. Going beyond that setting would require a customization of the theme which would be outside our scope of support, I'm afraid.
  13. Jim M's post in Home page - sort order was marked as the answer
In Fluid mode, the only selection is currently "Recently Updated." You're more than welcome to submit a Feature Suggestion for this or I can split this post into a new topic there if you would like?
  14. Jim M's post in ACP Permissions was marked as the answer
Sorry, we do not have a comprehensive list of permissions. For ACP, they should match up directly to their counterparts in the ACP and deal with direct access to those settings/permissions. If you have any questions, please let us know. The mobile app appears to be a bug which I have reported internally. Thank you for bringing this up. Randy I believe answered the rest of these but please let us know if further questions. We do not recommend making direct SQL edits and only provide the SQL Toolbox to our self-hosted clients at this time. If you are looking to do something specific, please let us know what that is and we can try to find something for you or help you transfer to a self-hosted version where this is still not recommended but is capable. As you are on Cloud, there may be some items, such as the SQL Toolbox which are available in permissions but hidden/restricted due to the Cloud platform itself. Other things, such as Redis, aren't necessarily something our Cloud customer need to worry about either as our system handles that. I have made a note on this as well for us to review this. Thank you for your feedback!
  15. Jim M's post in Profile info not displaying until page refresh was marked as the answer
Would recommend disabling any third party applications and plugins then switching to an unmodified theme. If that does not help, please check your browser console in the developer tools of your browser to see if there are any errors.
  16. Jim M's post in Mobile App was marked as the answer
Sorry, our mobile app was discontinued for some time now and for the foreseeable future at this time. We removed it from all references in our software in lieu of building out PWA more fully in our software. There is a little more information about PWA in 4.6 here: https://invisioncommunity.com/news/invision-community/web-push-notifications-native-sharing-offline-support-r1222/
  17. Jim M's post in Site is down - didn’t transfer was marked as the answer
OK, I have taken care of the plan/community upgrade and you're all set/online again. I apologize again for the delay here.
  18. Jim M's post in Missing alt info in thumbImage template was marked as the answer
Are you suggesting to utilize the $name in the alt tag in this template? By default, the alt tag should be getting placed in when our Javascript handles a few various items (unless I am missing your question here).
    As seen here:

  19. Jim M's post in Admin Backend icons missing was marked as the answer
This was due to a domain change, we helped the OP by clearing their cache in the Support Tool.
  20. Jim M's post in Site is down was marked as the answer
Cleared your cache and it seems to have brought things online. You will want to ensure that writing to your cache source is working and nothing is getting corrupted.
  21. Jim M's post in No tags on IPS. Negative impact on SEO? | Tag Manager was marked as the answer
We use tags for support items so we disallow access to members in most forums. This was not an SEO decision.
There is not a dedicated tag manager, you would need to delete these from the topic itself.
  22. Jim M's post in How to disable access to /store/? was marked as the answer
If you want to completely disable access to the store module, you could click the permissions button on the store module and remove access.
  23. Jim M's post in Deleting Unvalidated Registrations/Members was marked as the answer
Are these Email Validations or Admin Validations? If the former, please check that you have pruning setup, if you do not you can merely set this up for the desired days.
If the latter, you will want to perform an advanced search on the members screen in the ACP by clicking the cog wheel in the search box. Filter down your search then once the search results load, click the "Validating" tab. Before clicking the prune all found button in the blue bar, double/triple check you're on the "Validating" tab before proceeding.
For self-hosted customers, as always, before doing any large pruning, it would be advised to take a backup prior to attempting.
  24. Jim M's post in "Page Updated on -----" Block was marked as the answer
I'm afraid, there is nothing in the software which will do this for all cases (e.g. record creation and editing). This could be something customized into the database's template, however. (I can move this topic to the appropriate forum if you would like me to)
It is worth mentioning that, when a record is edited, the "Edited By" stamp will show just below the record like on forum posts and this can be readable by all members.
  25. Jim M's post in How can customize the text in Cookies page? was marked as the answer
Thank you for your question! Unfortunately, this is not something that is achievable within Invision Community at this time. The cookies page is automatically generated by our internal system information that is based around options selected in the ACP (e.g. if you use Facebook pixel integration, we include that information)
