And there you go.
New format option, customize the FontAwesome icon, toggle the light/dark text, compatible with 4.2.

Was grumpy with some text elements but that may have been due to developers mode, or it was some changes to how settings are saved on the back end.
Version 7 released.

Should, unless some hook points have changed. I'll take a hard look in the morning.

All Astronauts got a reaction from Foolboy in Spacious ACP/Widgets
Just a heads up that I've been grinding on new stuff for Spacious. No peeking, but the plan is to dump it all out with 4.3.
On that note... Don't be installing/using Spacious on 4.3 (alpha, beta, otherwise...) until I push a compatible release out. With the changes to the member view, just looking at the screenshot, I can venture a guess that the bit where you can PM a member right from the member page is going to break things on the new stuff.

All Astronauts got a reaction from Foolboy in Spacious ACP/Widgets
Nothing appears suite-breaking using the current version of Spacious with 4.3. Some things aren't working or are a little wonky but otherwise it's fine. That PM the member from the member page thing I thought would break things given the entire re-working of the member pages in 4.3 is "fine"...because they removed the template that bit hooked into. Can't break anything if it can't set the hook. So, feel free to use Spacious 13 on 4.3 if you are alright with some weirdness in spots.
All will be patched and so on and so forth for the official 4.3 release. Already have all the "broken" things fixed, new 4.3 things you want to change are changeable, improvements, etc.
I've just started grinding on 4.3 compatibility for all my stuff so forgive me if I'm not responding to comms fastly.

Should be, or rather, I don't plan on introducing anything new in the first release for 4.3 so unless its a compatibility thing. Maybe I can tackle this today and just push something out for you before I flip the dev environment over to 4.3

I thought I had that fixed loong ago, I'll take a look when I get back in. Thx.

All Astronauts reacted to Rhett in Font awesome 5.0
There is no need to tag anyone really as we all read this feedback section regularly. From what I understand the changes needed for font awesome 5 are pretty large, too large to hold up 4.3, which is already in the stages of internal testing.
Thank you

I'll take as look in the morning. I may need acp from you though. Let you know after I check things on this end.
EDIT: And now it's morning. Something is off on yours, might be a edge-case I'm not accounting for so I'll need to take a look.

This is solved in that the problem is "fixed". As iacas mentions, I made a tweak to one tiny thing that already works for everyone everywhere else, but on this server, when KS is ingested on install/upgrade, it was breaking on who-knows-what. My working hypothesis is an ancient cURL library; possibly old xml library/s too. Enough to just break the install/upgrade parse along the lines of a character swap/escape/un-escape.
Anyhoo, no new version of KS until 4.3 drops but this "fix" is accounted for and will be included in the next KS, even though most (everyone minus 1) aren't affected by the problem (though I should take a look at the template involved to make sure I'm not overlooking new code...)
The ancient cURL = 7.19.7 (no idea if it is a perked up version but the core version is still nearly a decade old). IPS recommends 7.3something.something as a minimum. Didn't look at the xml libraries but I'd be sure to get eyes on those too. My primary server cURL is 7.56.1 for comparison.
The above is just a general note to everyone on this stuff. Problems like this come from the strangest of places...

All Astronauts got a reaction from Vanucci in Spacious ACP/Widgets
Yep, it used to be just a theme (xml) file, then it was a theme and app (the widgets) and now it is all merged into a single app as IPS will be removing ACP themeing in 4.3 (???).
I'll update the description. Thanks!

It's some guy from Bulgaria that takes stuff already stolen and posted on other pirate sites, then uploads them a new site of his own that runs a hacked copy of the the official IPS site on some random domain name, and then puts a price tag on it.
Good times.

After losing an hour troubleshooting something of mine on somebody's site, it turned out the bug was just an un-applied IPS silent patch.
What are those? Those be the things IPS does now in-lieu of releasing 4.2.6.1, 4.2.6.2 and so on. Unfortunately, not everyone routinely uses the support tool to discover that there are patches available. We've got a dashboard - why not use it?
And so for Spacious, I am.
If there are patches available for your currently installed version, a button will appear in the dashboard top row. Click it and a box will appear listing the items the patch addresses (in my lost-hour example it was a "search issue"). Click to apply the patch if you so desire. Permissions apply on the other side of that apply patch link. If there is an entirely new version of IPS, the button will not display - this is only for those silent patches - everything is returns to the usual big dashboard announcements. Also note that if there are patches, and you do not install them, and then a new version of IPS drops, the button will no longer display as there are no patches any more - the "fix" is upgrading to the latest version at this point.
The new updates button only displays when you have a 3rd party (non-IPS) application or plugin that has been flagged as having an update available. Same as above applies. If an update url has been provided where you can download the updated version, you get the green update button to take you through. If no URL is provided, that is noted, and you'll will need to track down the updated version wherever (the Marketplace I imagine for now). I'm tired so updates to themes will have to wait for another day before getting included here. No reason for it not to happen - all the same process.
FAIR WARNING! Not responsible for any version conflicts. If, for example, you are running 4.2.6, and a 3rd party update is flagged as having an update available, and you click through and just go ahead and download the thing and install it without reading any release notes saying it requires IPS 4.8 or something that ain't my problem.
This Spacious feature is to just get all those buried update notices front and center on the dashboard. Oh, and there is a task involved so after installing the new Spacious (when avail) nothing will display button wise for 12 hours or so, or just go into the tasks list (with the convenient Tasks button on your dashboard that you enabled with Spacious ) and run spacious_patchUpdates or whatever it is called to get going immediately.
Released soon. Mainly just sleeping on this though I do have "a day" tomorrow so this might slip to Thrs nite or Friday sometime.

KS 19 Released!
That thing I did above. Searchlight! Search results content now have search terms flagged. Customizable too! Ability to set default search results order. Almost certainly some other things I've forgotten about. Yeah, I skipped 18. It happens.
Why allowing you to set the default search results order? Needed after this:

@Bluto I've got this now. The KS settings form is looking for forums to select for the allow first posts to be edited setting and naturally not finding them. Patching that now.
Think I have the breadcrumbs tightened up better now (just targets the first li element in the breadcrumb)
Shoot me ACP access and we can test.

All Astronauts got a reaction from W4L in S3 Compatible Downloads
Your service appears to *require* a signature for downloads, even if the file is public-read. If the attachment is an image it displays fine of course, and you can open the image in a new tab and download it directly like that, but if something is being downloaded via URL, it seems to want a signature no matter what.
I guess I can get about the business of writing out a real S3 compatibility mod but it will be a paid app.
For now I'll just keep a running list of compatible services on the Marketplace page and in this support topic.
Thanks!

All Astronauts reacted to AlexWebsites in Forum Index data-pagecontroller for each view
Please add a forum index data-pagecontroller="" for each view; traditional, fluid, etc. This way we can target elements on the page with CSS specific to that view. Currently all views are data-pagecontroller="index"

No guarantee on time table but I can add that to the list.
No reason why it wouldn't be doable though it might add some heft to the queries if that last post date isn't already present in the topic. I think it is though.
I tend to avoid the new features IPS introduces as they are often a bit raw and undergo streamlining fairly quickly. You make a good point and you should say as much in the Feedback forum. They do read that and it's a good request.
