  1. Thanks Joel, I appreciate you taking the time that all makes sense. Last August I had these issues: https://invisioncommunity.com/forums/topic/434911-trophies-and-medals-supporttopic/?do=findComment&comment=2754654 https://invisioncommunity.com/forums/topic/434911-trophies-and-medals-supporttopic/?do=findComment&comment=2754893 It wasn't one task running every x minutes, but 100's running on my site for hours and hours. The dev said it is how it works but would be changed because it was confusing. You can't do that to someone's AdminCP and just leave it, I had to disable it. I tried reinstalling it again but members mentioned they were immediately receiving email notifications about receiving trophies (they didn't know they were going to get trophies) but I still had it set up for only visible by Admin group only as it wasn't ready to go live, and there are only 2 of us!
  2. Sad if true. Support for this mod has often been very poor, it deserves so much better and it's important in the battle for member engagement and retention against the blight of social media, this is why I kept asking for it seems years when and if IPS could implement awards natively into the suite. It's the largest, most obvious and glaring omission of the suite when you compare to other community software like Lithium, and when IPS suddenly posted a gamification entry in the corporate blog, I thought yes, finally! But that was just marketing malarkey. I eventually felt I had no choice but to invest in this third party app and it never worked properly, it was a huge resource hog, it didn't respect permissions, and I lost confidence. Honestly and you may laugh, and may be completely wrong and this is just my opinion, but I was always confused about Fosters as an entity. Early on I thought it was a group of popular IPS Marketplace devs because Fosters so often talked with a plural 'we' and because it came out of nowhere with rave reviews of its mods, with strong marketing PR. The way the support site just disappeared was I guess a sign of things to come. If you look back through this topic for example, prior to October it was always 'we', then 'I', so perhaps that's the issue, it's a large library of mods now down to one dev. If you aren't open about your identity as a seller, it instantly comes over as suspicious. I think in some cases, IPS probably should do more about Marketplace seller transparency and credibility, there should be some prerequisites. I wish @Mike John or @Adriano Faria could take over this app if IPS won't release a proper gamification app or functionality into Core.
  3. You can speed things up by only using the style of icons you actually need. 65kB is that small a file though, it's surely insignificant by today's broadband speeds, unless you're stuck still using a 14.4 kbit/s dial up modem!
  4. Just purchased this and very impressed so far! Nice to see Sparkpost listed in the Community Enhancements once more, back where it belongs! (Just sayin' is all! 🤐) The suppression list search is great, may I suggest a button to search and display the full list, if possible? Quick question, after completing the install and setting SP to send both types of mail, the previous SMTP settings for Sparkpost remain in the Email section of AdminCP. How best to deal with them? Many thanks!
  5. Font Awesome 5 changelog v5.6.0 - 2018-12-07 Huh? Wait...! Is that...? 😃
  6. Hi Mike, It was enabled but I just realised that my Current Donations Total in AdminCP was 0 out of 1000. I changed it to 5 and it displayed the bar saying 0%. So if you haven't received a donation it doesn't show the bar. So my suggestion would be could it be set to still display if the current donation is at 0 as this might encourage someone to make the first donation. Aha, that's awesome, thank you! Adds a whole new level!
  7. Thanks for the explanation, much appreciated. Personally, for me, we liked members online today (from midnight). Once I removed it and my community went nuts, as they like to see if their friends have been online today. Also moderators liked to instantly see if a troublesome member had signed-in yet, that day. That said, I currently have this mod reinstalled and set to 1440 minutes, but only visible to staff for now. I still think if it's possible it would be great to have a choice of 4 options: Online Today (aka since Midnight - in users time zone if poss, or server time if not). Online during the last 24hrs. Online during the last X hours. Online during the last X minutes.
  8. Okay, thanks for confirming. I wasn't sure if I'd missed something.
  9. Hi @opentype Very happy with Supergrid, it looks great. I noticed I have a page showing all categories which is still using the default template, but I wasn't sure if it's my site or not, as the url isn't the usual seo friendly style url. However I just looked on your demo site and it's the same there. https://www.opentype.space/supergrid/?show=categories Do you think it's possible to the Supergrid templates there, too? Many thanks.
  10. I'm sure I must be getting too old, or thinking of some similar named mod, as I'm sure it used to be configurable to either today or last 24hrs. There is a default widget that mention last x minutes. Did this plug-in used to be called Members Online Today or something similar and then it switched to minutes? As DonPetru mentioned, hopefully it will allow a choice of Today (since midnight in users time zone) Last 24hrs Hours Minutes Then it would cover every angle?
  11. Hi Mike, Donate Sidebar is great, I've looked at the full version but it's a bit overkill for me. However I haven't had a single donation this year via the Donate Sidebar, everything is configured okay but I wondered if the 'total raised progress bar thingy' could perhaps be displayed all the time on the widget, even if it was an option to do so? This might encourage more donations if members and visitors could see if donations are low. Perhaps some members assume others are donating so they don't need to. Also do you have any plans to support Stripe as I understand it's better than PayPal, or even options for donation themed providers like BuyMeACoffee or crowdfunding sites? Many thanks.
  12. Hi, Thanks for the update! I know it's free but a few suggestions below... The photos only option look great but a bit small, perhaps add a size option for small/medium size photos? Also just another suggestion, perhaps you could have an option to show their name next to or underneath photo as well? I'm a bit confused, why has it switched from hours to minutes? I set it to 1440 minutes to list all members who have been online today realising 24hrs can cover yesterday also!), it makes sense for under an hour or two, but it looks really weird saying 1440 minutes on the front end instead of 24 hours or today. If a member doesn't know there are 1440 minutes in 24hrs, it would be confusing for them. The widget title becomes too long if you enable Show Stat: which got me thinking, perhaps an option to show the stat inside a matching widget footer? Anyway, nice plug-in!
  13. Sadly in my case, I had to remove it, it was just too buggy.
  14. Does this still work on current v4.3.x Gallery, please?
  15. Yes, that could be it. I don't understand why it plays up for me though!
  16. Thanks Joel, maybe, I'm not sure. I checked the tables in phpMyAdmin as I've disabled it again to prevent more calamity. I have 4012 members, usually around 10 a day online. Bear in mind only Admin group could use the app as I've never launched it in my community, it's only ever been at the set up stage despite members getting trophy notifications and guests being able to see trophies in members profiles (I think the latter was a bug fixed at some point). I had set up: 7 trophy categories holding 35 different trophies 1 medal category with only 1 medal set up. This doesn't seem like much but I don't know how it all functions, plus only the trophies are automated, the medals are only issued manually. This is interesting though, there is a table which is the 8th largest in the DB at 6.5MB, which is ib_trophies_members. It has 39200 rows. I've exported the gripped sql tables if anyone or the dev wants to play. export_of_all_5_tables.gz seperate-exported-tables.zip
  17. I updated to v1.4.3 and renabled the app. This is what happened next... Updated: 6 hours later and it's still running 100's of tasks. I also still have permissions set for just admin and yet one of my members has just asked about receiving a trophy. I took another screen capture to demonstrate. I'm so sorry @Fosters, but this app is really buggy. Perhaps I need to remove all trophies and restart from scratch, or it needs a complete rewrite or just isn't compatible with IPS4.3.5? I have disabled the app again.
  18. Damn, I'd sell my left kidney on EBay just to see that photo. Come on, people!
  19. Thank you Brandon, appreciate the reply. I've never experienced a genuine user being blocked by the Spam service having to make contact but I'm sure it happens. Personally I'd be willing to risk it. What about utilising the Q&A option, ban filters and language/word filters?
  20. Font Awesome via its CDN is so popular and widely used that I honestly think most visitors have probably never downloaded it or will ever need to download it via your community's website. Their browsers will have downloaded and therefore cached it way before from elsewhere. Even for those minimal few who say, just got online and visited your site as their first ever website, would only have to download it once anyway. Then it's done. It's like complaining about having to download Bootstrap or JQuery. Sure if your benchmarking it will increase your download time, but real world users will normally come across it way before. Obviously chances are a little less so with the Pro version. If you take the Bootstrap analogy for a second, surely it's better to use Bootstrap per se, rather than sticking a prefix before every class selector name. Then you do have to download that JavaScript and CSS because you've customised it. Its free (so really what's to complain about?!), it's cool (remember how dull IPB looked before snazzy modern Font Awesome?!), FA5 has better, updated, larger icons (not based on 14px anymore, just like Bootstrap 4 isn't). I felt so warm and fuzzy around my nether regions after watching THAT funny video that I bought the Pro version albeit at the early adopter rate, something I've never done before. I'd love to be able to make better use of FA5 and get the benefits of the Pro even nicer icons, icon packs and CDN If possible in IPS for example as nicer trophies and awards. I'd love to just settle for FA5 standard before the next decade starts though!
  21. Thanks, you're quite correct. I wouldn't have guessed as so much of this junk is so blatant, you could spot it from another galaxy with the naked eye!
