Can you please explain to me How can i back up some app before removing it?

I believe disabling an application - not deleting - is sufficiently enough for doing the upgrade.

My forum is down after a simple server upgrade to PHP8, I expect IPB support on this one. You have access to log in.

Some applications you have installed are not compatible with PHP8, therefore, an upgrade from 7.4 to 8.0 will cause your website to crash. Perfectly normal behavior. You need to investigate which application is not ready for PHP8 before you are able to upgrade. This is not on Invision Community's behalf, but on whoever made an application that doesn't comply with PHP8.

I wasn't expecting this outcome. It's no secret it has been declining for years, so action was bound to be made. I like the Dev Directory, it's a very nicely made alternative and it gives more freedom to our Devs. Well done.

I think a lot is just misunderstood. But it's a bit confusion as well, so it was bound to happen. Some will say it's a bad thing, without realizing it's in their best interest and gain. 

Keep it up Invision Community.

Is there an ETA when we will see the first of the transition to v5?

I'm very excited to see the new version.

I've just installed a fresh install on my server and it's not letting me login the admin control panel. No errors came up, but it keeps refreshing and no matter how many times I click confirm, nothing happens. Very frustrating. Are there any known issues or fixes around this?

Edit: it seems I was using /admin instead of /admin/index.php - which resolved my problem.

It's due to SendGrid. Disable SendGrid and no errors will pop up.

When adding a link to the directory the miniature.io doesn't capture the thumbnail. Is that because the forum is still offline when adding a link or does the API need to be setup correctly to work? If so, how ?
