Thanks Jim. That helps a lot we will look into alternatives. Is there a way I can get into the Admin Panel support tool directly in the meantime? Even if I just change the theme to the default, I am not sure if I can access that via direct URL or not.

We are in the cloud, and trying to integrate a new ad partner Ezoic and it is going very poorly. We have a small group of users that pay a subscription to get no ads. Ezoic doesn't use the ad blocks, so they gave us a script to put in that would (they said) prevent ads for that group. We made changes to core > front > ipsfocus > headExtra and put things in there. I thought everything was working but now people are saying they can't access the forums. Some groups can, some can't so I want to remove the latest changes and revert back. So excited to see what is coming next for Invision. As far as a wishlist one thing for me is just a general thought, but SEO SEO SEO. Any SEO improvements that help our forum threads get indexed would be huge. Otherwise, one thing I have always wanted are Notification filters. When I see that I have 20 notifications there are times that I don't need to check every Reaction notification. But I definitely want to see all @ notifications so I make sure I respond to them all.

I know this is a vanity stat. Some of it is to generate buzz \ get in the heads of our competitors. Maybe once a year we would tweet: Wow 1,200 Jets fans in the forums right now talking about ______. It helped generate some buzz. We have 100% fill rate with all of our display ads and that company has our GA, so it doesn't impact revenue there at all. The advertisement that it could impact is package deals, advertisers that gets sponsored social media posts, sponsored forum threads, that kind of thing. They don't get our traffic #s when they see 700 people in the forums, they are more likely to work with us. So this isn't about it bothering me, it is just a thread trying to figure out what changed and if I could do anything about it. Thanks.

Yes as I stated this is a vanity stat. But it is important advertisers check things like that. It is an issue. Competitors look too, and it is nice to get in their heads a bit.

Yes, this is pretty bad for us. Looks like our forum is old and dying which isn't the case. Now that's at 4am when everyone is sleeping but still, it looks bad.

That's the exact thought I have. I know the real numbers not worried about that at all. Others, even competitors, check the who's online and it looks like we lost 70% of our traffic.

Okay thanks for the technical explanation. But I guess my question now is, has anyone else mentioned this being a problem? I know it is a vanity # but it makes the site look smaller. it was always a good look showing 800 people logged in. Street cred kind of thing. Has anyone else been impacted by this?

A user said they don't want to see the thread preview when browsing on mobile. When I browse I don't see that. Here is what they see, Does anyone know how to turn the thread preview off? Also, the Who's Online numbers are WAY down since we moved. Is there a setting for how long it considers somebody online? Thanks.

Nevermind, it was a rights issue. CHMOD to change upload and everything FTPed. All set now.

So I purchased cloud hosting but we are going to move to that in about two weeks. In the meantime I upgraded our self hosting plan to 4.7.9. Then I tried to upload the latest files again manually to install commerce on self hosting to test it out. Unfortunately that upload failed and the forums have been down for a few hours. On what will be one of the busiest days of the year. Ugh, anyhow it looks like admin \ upload files are failing when I try to upload them. Does anyone know what the permissions of that folder should be? I want to chmod them. Any other ideas on why it won't let me FTP to that directory? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Actually is there a way to embed YouTube live stream code into a thread and have people watch it that way? I've never tried it but if that works it might be all we need.

Just found this thread, as I was looking for a video streaming option for our site. Frustrating losing so much traction to YouTube during events. I would switch to cloud hosting if we could live stream a few times a month. Does anyone know if more information was made available about this option?

Anyone else having a problem with this mod? It started giving me a million PM's. It looks like it is trying to message deleted users all of a sudden and it keeps messaging me. This was after the last upgrade.
