I have someone who creates a calendar event, then makes a forum post rather than using the comments to promote the event.

How do I merge these? Or if someone makes a post in a thread how do I get this content into the comments of the event?

I want to do a group promotion for anyone who has posted more than 250 posts in a given year.

Will a standard group promotion do this?

I use elastic mail for the site emails, so people get notifications through that and can opt out. I've recently just gone through and deleted the contacts with bouncing emails or those who have unsubscribed in elastic email so that the future notifications only go to those who are still active in elastic email.

My question is that I want to send out a bulk email from the IPS ACP, if I select every member, will that get filtered by elastic email to only send to those who are active in elastic email or will it send to everyone regardless of the elastic email settings?

Does it allow you to set an expiry date to hide the topic? I'd like this with options to set a visible for x days option by the admin.

I have PM's turned off by default - they can be turned on by subscription, so this may be a nice way for others to send a gift to turn on somones messaging, but I digress.
The ability to send via email to a member is key, but does the purchaser need to know the members email address or will it just be a case of select member, send via email?

Also,
If the gift is for member A, and they print and send the hardcopy to member B, who gets the gift?
Can I turn off the various selections ie to to send via PM, or print - as per above?

OK found the issue.
Checking the email headers indicates a user ASWEEW and an email address allapetrovapetrovaalla@gmail.com

This is a registered forum user. As soon as I banned his account, the emails stopped. So how is he able to do this without compromising the server and everything else?

I have confirmed if I change my eleasticmail account it comes up as access denied error until I put the new details into IPB, then it doesnt send because I've hit my credit limit.

I've noticed a slow down of my site over the last 24 hours and its looks like I've found the issue but I dont know what to do about it.

I use elasticmail via smtp. I've just changed my smtp password but I'm still sending out mail. The logs show authentication error out of credit, so I'm assuming that whatever script is running is pulling my smtp details from the settings I put into IPB. Where do I start in terms of getting rid of this?

OK, we use stripe. He gets the email to say someone has purchased something, but it doesn't tell him who. He just gets an email to say, a customer has bought xxx and you've  earned $xxx.

So how does he know who has purchased what? 

Even if they use discuss with member feature, he could have 3 people say I'll send you the money, 2 pay up and he'd not know which two.
But without the contact member, if someone uses buy now on its own, he'd have no idea. 

Also he'd need to see delivery details.

The IPS email notification would work for an admin because the back end tells me who's completed the transaction and I get to see the invoice details. The IPS email works here in marketplace because you're not selling physical items. Classifieds needs the extra info due to the physical aspects of the items being sold.

So how can we improve the information to the seller?

I have a member who is using classifieds. Another member has purchased the item (physical) using buy now, but the seller only gets an email to say congratulations, someone has purchased a ......

How is he supposed to know who has purchased it and where to send it?

How did you get on with the fixed position bug? 

I'll install and reactive and let you know. 

It also removes the content in the support request email replies, so the module needs some work as its now completely useless with those 2 factors.
