  1. moderation logs in the Admin CP should tell you who deleted it and from where.

true but then you cross reference all the time. It would be nice to see it at the time of reading the post/thread to keep it tidy. Plus the restore button feature
  2. Just been looking thought my trashcan and there are a couple of posts and threads that have been deleted by staff that I would like to restore.

    Is it possible:

    • to see who deleted the post/thread
    • force a reason for deletion comment
    • allow an admin (or approved group) to restore the post/thread back to where it came from (currently it looks like you have to move it back and therefore guess the location)

  3. Any ideas how to substitute this:

    • bounced email handling - not sure
    • wiki - IP.Content or mediawiki plugin available
    • cyb advanced forum rules - built in and another version by member mod
    • GARS (reviews) - IP.Content/Forum software
    • Invitation system - mod available
    • reputation system - built in
    • reputation comments in posts - not seen this
    • reputation moderation - available
    • multiple account detection and handling - mod been requested for port from 2.3
    • post report system - built in
    • vb's infraction system - built in warning system
    • member help / support / ticket system - IP.tracker (its excellent!)
    • real IP detection (see trough proxies) - requested port from previous version
    • reciprocal links directory - ip.content
    • verify email before registration - built in
    • facebook like chat - yes built in
    • full featured chat room - built in
    • canned replies - not sure what you mean
    • vb's thread prefixes - I have requested this as a feature in next release
    • donation system - free and paid mods available
    • vbexperience - see above

    hope this helps

  4. Hmmm, there's too many modifications to list, here's a few off the top of my head:

    - vBAdvanced (I know I've already said it)

    - Cyb - PayPal Donate (i.e. PayPal integration for payments)

    - Affiliates Sidebar (i.e. Something with a list of affiliates that scrolls on the left/right side of the forum home)

    - vBShout (i.e. A Chatbox)

    - TCattd Image Resizer (i.e. A fancy image resizer)

    - vBExperience (i.e. A points system. You get 1 point per post and 10 points per thread, it adds up and produces a better gauge of the quality of users rather than just post count, or just reputation)

    vba = IP.Content not Portal!
donate = a free light system or a full paid system is available
shout - shoutbox here fully supported!
    image resize - built in
experience = couple of points systems around, check ou wheich one suits you.

the affilliates sidebar can be maide really easity and hooked or used in IP.Content.

Hope this helps, as you will see from my sig I am a vb convert. You wont be disappointed!
  5. I moved from vB a few months ago. Its the best thing I ever did and after yesterdays news I am even happier. Seriously, I was heavily modded and knew vb like the back of my hand. I tested and tested and at first the transition took some getting used to, but its worth it. The conversion is really really simple.

Get a community license, do a conversion, test it and just redo the conversion when you go live.

It takes a while for the replies as this section is moderator approved.

  6. Err, they are already enabled here? You also need to post in P-2-P if you need help :)

I dont need help with them yet, unless they are supposed to be an active feature. I currently dont see SEF urls in posts here (in the format as described above), but in the blog and preview there was reference to them being standard in IPB3.
  7. Can I ask what happened to the SEF urls?

Obviously its a little hard to search for SEF related stuff with a 4 letter search limit, but a lot of the posts and blogs around suggest it was due to be implemented as standard on IPB 3. Where do I find it?

For those not aware of SEF urls, they make http://forums.invisionpower.com/forum/297-ips-company-feedback/ look like Invision Power Services -> IPS Company Feedback
