Online Event doesn't show when filtering search?

Recommended Posts

Hi! I've got two repeating (weekly) online events listed in the Events Calendar. On the main Events page, they show up perfectly:

Could contain: File, Advertisement, Poster, Webpage, Person, Page, Text, QR Code

But, if I go to the search box and select only Online Events and search:

Could contain: Page, Text

The two online events don't show up. And they won't show up, even if I select the date on which they happen next.

Could contain: File, Advertisement, Poster, Text, Webpage, Page

Do I have a setting wrong?
Thanks in advance!

We are unable to log into your admin CP unfortunately. Please could you correct this?

Hi! I'm going to have to drop this issue, then, for now. We have to enable that front-end sign-in, and after having to spend all last week with that to wait on a fix for the previous programming issue -- it was hundreds of e-mails from members who could not get signed in.

We're in the process of discussing things with a Provider to get the rest of our site onto IPS framework. That way, we won't have this issue. I'll bump this thread then to get this fixed.

Thanks so much! I'll definitely follow up with this. 🙂

I have tested on my own install, and I'm unable to replicate any issue with this area

It appears to be very easy to reproduce - @PinPics, please correct me if this is NOT what you are trying to report...

  1. Create an event for today
  2. Set the event to repeat weekly, same day, for as long as you want.
  3. Save it

So, you should now have an event that is today (30th Jan) and then 6th Feb, 13th Feb, 20th Feb and so on, correct?

Yeah ya do...

Could contain: File, Webpage, Text

Could contain: File, Webpage, Text

Or do you?

Could contain: File, Webpage, Page, Text

Could contain: File, Webpage, Text, Page

Now try using the search for events on those specific dates. Result:

30th Jan - there it is

Could contain: File, Page, Text, Webpage

6th Feb - where's the event?

Could contain: Page, Text, FileCould contain: File, Webpage, Page, Text

13th Feb - where's the event?

Could contain: Page, Text

Where's the February events?

Could contain: Page, Text, File

No problem. Glad to hear you are trying to get everything into one place. Im sure that will serve you a lot better going into the future

Yes, you guys are absolutely wonderful! That's why we're so excited to be getting this done. Really looking forward to the ease of everything on the one platform, and all the great features that IPS offers over our previous site.

That is exactly the issue! We have two online events repeating weekly, and that's exactly what's happening. 🙂

I'm going to just input them individually for now, because it works with everything but repeating events.

Apart from its not showing up whether dates are selected or not, and Im unable to reproduce my end unfortutely. If he selects only "online events" and clicked to search, there is nothing shown either

Yes, they disappear completely, unless just browsing by month.

I will definitely follow up with this as soon as we're transferred to IPS. Really counting down the days to that!!
