Twice yesterday I had people email us and say that they were asked to enter credit card information. Both are insisting that my site was hacked. My forums are free and do not require a credit card. I told them this in an email response. I'm trying to figure out if they clicked on an ad that is malicious (in which case adthrive needs to investigate and remove it) of what exactly happened. Did you ask what the link is they were on when they were ask for that information? Of course, that's not what my readers/members want to hear.... that it's your device that is likely infected. But I had to do my due diligence and at least see if others had experienced this.
