sound Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 When 'products' show in the related/similar item block the url for the product item displayed has ?do=getPrefComment added, which when followed results in a Page Not Found. error message

Marc Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 No problem. Im not seeing any issues on my end unfortunately. If you wish for us to take a look at yours, we can certainly do so with relevant access, but Im unable to assist any further without this as I cannot replicate

It is the equivalent of going to a car garage and tell the mechanics there that my car has this problem and I want you to fix it, but I do not want to give you access to the car itself.

opentype Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 It depends. If it is indeed a bug, reporting it is a favour to IPS so they can fix their problem and end up with a better product. Being required to jump through hoops in order to help them doesn’t feel right. If it is likely an issue specific to a single installation and a custom server setup or third-party items, then that is a different story altogether. In this case, investigating it by IPS would be a favour to the site owner. Looking at the code, it seems very likely that this actually a bug. The template just calls <a href="{$item->url( "getPrefComment" )}" … and that rarely includes Commerce products. So, this might have simply been overlooked. Afrodude 1
sound Posted October 7, 2022 Author Posted October 7, 2022 another 'possible' bug with this feature when events are displayed they show the date the event was posted, not the date of the event therefore you can have 2 or more results that appear identical but are not should be able to see that without access, yep?

Marc Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 I have created a bug report for this. Please note, these can at times be specific settings, even if the bug is ours. Providing access can be a very quick way of ascertaining what is causing the issue and getting it reported. SeNioR- 1
Solution Marc Posted November 2, 2022 Solution Posted November 2, 2022 Just a quick note to let you know this has been resolved in the latest 4.7.4 release, which went out a short time ago. If you are still experiencing this issue after upgrading to that release, please let us know.
