Hello,

We turned on IP address pruning, but obviously the feature doesn't work very well. When I check out the member profiles in acp, I can see IP addresses from the start.

Does we do anything wrong?

When is it you switched this on? I ask, as this will run on a cleanup task, so would not work instantly

Weeks/months ago but I never checked the result. 😉

Any news on this?

Could you please provide an example? While, it will wipe IP addresses associated with content, it will not prune all IP addresses in the system so I want to ensure we're on the same page here.

Do you have an example of this, or did you find it was not the items mentioned by my colleague?

To meet GDPR rules you have to be able to delete ALL person related IP addresses. 😉

Otherwise the backend has to communicate this problem better that my european colleagues know that they have to delete the addresses manually in mysql. 😉

If you are looking for additions to the software there, you would need to post this up within our suggestions area. It sounds like what you are referring to there however if posts, which are not deleted at present.

It sounds like you may have configured IP pruning for content (AdminCP > System > Settings > Posting) but not for profiles/device management.

Go to AdminCP > Members > Member Settings > Profiles > Profile Settings and configure 'Prune Member IP Addresses'
