Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Genestoy Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 I need to correct the Invision copyright link at the bottom of the page to show https and not http as it is breaking my SSL - this is for 3.1.4 and need to get it fixed before I upgrade to 4 Does anyone know where I can edit that? I do not want to remove it just correct the url Thanks

Nothing in the HTML templates of 3.4 matters. It’s all thrown away during the upgrade. I don’t know how you get these ideas, but I am pretty sure it’s baseless. Just upgrade it like it is.
Genestoy Posted June 6, 2017 Author Posted June 6, 2017 Because it may be a month or so before I upgrade and I would like to fix it now (members complaining). I just spoke with my host and they say that is the reason no "green" padlock Thanks

Embedded content needs to be delivered over SSL. Links can point to anything. Of course they can. If the site you link to is http, you don’t link to https of course.
AndyF Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 Would be a manual source (php) file to do this. I did have a look out of interest at 314 to see if it picks up the http vs https part elsewhere but it does not its hardcoded at http
Randy Calvert Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 Out of curiosity... what is the URL? If you're getting a mix-mode error message, we should be able to tell you what is causing it. Having a link pointing to HTTP instead of HTTPS should not cause a browser warning. Most likely it's an embedded piece of content like a CSS file or a JS file like an analytics tracker.
