Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted July 21, 20159 yr I'm writing a Pages article and I want to add some images to it and when I do, this is the code that is being added:<a class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image" href="FULL IMAGE URL"><img data-fileid="10" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt="" src="THUMBNAIL" /></a> What I don't understand is why is it forcing a thumbnail? Every time I add an image, I have to go to the source code and manually edit it. Is there a setting that would allow me to add an image without any links or thumbnails?
July 21, 20159 yr Author It's a shame that you need to edit the html code to do something as simple as uploading and embedding an image... this should be possible to be done in 1 click
July 22, 20159 yr No need for the drama and no need to edit each post. Just set your thumbnail settings accordingly if you want to show attachments larger by default.

July 22, 20159 yr Author System > Posting > Maximum image dimensions to displayThanks, but I don't have a limit there and it still generates a thumbnail.
July 22, 20159 yr Well if you have it set to 0 than that could be the problem, it would mean that no large images will be displayed and only thumbnails will be displayed. Try setting it to 1000 and 1000 and see if it fixes it.Note it's the max size, not the minimum size.

You have to click the plus sign to add it to the post. That's what I'm doing.
July 22, 20159 yr @Kirill N I would quite likely submit a ticket on that? Perhaps it's a bug that needs to be fixed?

July 23, 20159 yr Author Do you mean an additional thumbnail image or are you referring to the display size of the image in the article?I mean an additional thumbnail image. For a 400x300 image it still generated a thumbnail of the same size.

September 6, 20159 yr Was there ever a solution to this? I'm running into the same problem...... Everything is set to 200x200 - thumbnails and actual image inside the pages post.
