W4L Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 https://youtu.be/08DuFA0TDi4 thought it might be the link format but this one dosnt seem to work here either they both work on my site running 4.0.9 there we go , the link above has embeds turned off right from youtube could be your issue . the minnios allows embeds
mudcrutch Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 any idea on how to fix this?after upgrading from 3 to 4 all previous youtube embeds just show up as links.
Ralf Herrmann Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 after upgrading from 3 to 4 all previous youtube embeds just show up as links.Directly after the upgrade, that’s normal. Have the background tasks finished already? They will go through all the forums and recreate bb-codes and embeds.
mudcrutch Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Directly after the upgrade, that’s normal. Have the background tasks finished already? They will go through all the forums and recreate bb-codes and embeds. that was it! took about 24 hours for everything to show up. thank you!

Khalat Jalal Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 I have the same problem, no video will embded, and when i try to edit the link it stucks at link editing loading page ...
Khalat Jalal Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 Finally I've fixed it,in my case its a server side issue (mod_Security), I've contacted the server provider and they fixed this thing for my, now everything is fine...
Matk Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 I'm having this same problem, I using the version 4.0.13.1. Does anyone have a solution?
Mopar1973Man Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 I'll have to report also the Youtube embed feature does not work. http://forum.mopar1973man.com/topic/10594-beavers-in-the-sky/?do=findComment&comment=120780
Nathan Explosion Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Open up a web developer console in your browser Paste a youtube link and press return Look at what the resulting response is to the subsequent request that is sent via your server to retrieve the preview code. Post it here if it doesn't explain the answer to the problem.
Mopar1973Man Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 It fired this time for some weird reason... Console spit back... "window.controllers is deprecated. Do not use it for UA detection."
Nathan Explosion Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 That's not the response from the request - that's probably a message related to Google Analytics and totally unrelated. The above steps I provided are how to troubleshoot these embedding issues - the link is pasted, the enter key is pressed (this is the trigger) and a request is sent back to the server. The server then goes to the url, retrieves the preview code and then that code is sent back to the browser as the response.....and the response is then displayed in your browser. Reasons it may not work: Enter/return wasn't pressed. Port 443 (for https links) or port 80 (for http links) is not open from the server (not your computer) to the target site (ie youtube)
Mopar1973Man Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Ok. Thanks... I'll check into all that... Sure would make it nice to have some more indepth documentation and troubleshooting guides for this software. Makes it rather roughly hunting and digging looking for solutions or support.
