Hot to change Deleted Member's Name

Featured Replies

Hello!

Some times members registers using their own surname and later regeret it, even after we have deleted the account.

A deleted member shows up as Guest_[Previous display name]_*

Hot can I change the "Previous display name" so it can not be associated with the real person?

I suppose the only way to change that name is through PhpMyAdmin.

Looking at a ibf_post the  author_name is the display name not the "Guest..." name.

Thanks

Members > Group settings > Permissions > Display name changes ..  will this do ?

Members can change their own display name then ..

I did a search in ibf_posts on author_name and changed all instances of it. As the post diplays Guest_[Author_name]_*

Open table forum_posts, search and edit publication

Once a user is "deleted", it is no longer possible to edit their username/display name from the ACP. Yes, unfortunately, running a MySQL query is the only way to change this.

It's an easy MySQL query though and if you have issues with it, many can help you. :)

Hi.

Can it be done in the templates ?

Wich one is it?

I need to take off "Foreroz" from here "Invitado / Foreroz".

It means "Guest / Foreroz" and the member Foreroz is not longer a member of our forum and he didnt want that is user name appear.

And I have the same "problem" with many others ex-members

Thanks.
