3.2 - Automatic image resizing in forum posts / attachments?

Will 3.2 allow admins to set maximum dimensions for images posted on forums, and automatically resize inline and attached images?

It would be great if we could stop people uploading gigantic (layout killing) images.

Cheers,
Shaun :D

3.1.4 does this already... it has been a feature since 3.x I believe.

Image attachments no, embedded / linked images are resized by a percentage. All this does is present a lower resolution image. Here's an example of an embedded image reduced in size. The full image is loaded and scaled by your browser:

Yes you can limit attachments also by using the thumbnail feature... just set it to the largest size that works on your board.. or my preference is 300x300... still allows a quick view but not really a thumbnail.

Correct - you can control the thumbnail size but there's no restriction on the actual attached image. It can be massive.

I added a new feature in 3.2 that allows the admin to set the maximum image size when uploading an attachment and resizes the image down if required.
