theclub
New members are often confused when confronted with these buttons, and end up quoting every post when they just mean to reply. Most 3rd party skins now have changed buttons. What do you think?
Alex
I still prefer normal one
Keven Fox
Multi means nothing to most people who don't know that it means "multi quote" so stick with the normal.
Millar
If you had at least made the text the same as I did here1 - 2 - 3 - Then maybe I would vote for them, but out of the two above I would go with default.
TestingSomething
It's really kind of confusing to new people either way. I don't really know a good way to have it.
Michael
I think they're fine as they are. I've never had a member question what they mean on my board.
Pete T
i with second site because people could think reply is reply to a topic but adds quotes to them and quotes easy understand.
Gogf
If you had at least made the text the same as I did here 1 - 2 - 3 - Then maybe I would vote for them, but out of the two above I would go with default. I presume he would have used the standard font if he could have.As for which button set is better, I support a change. As it is right now, the basic function — the single quote — is unclear, while the advanced function — the multi-quote — would be less clear in the proposed version. I doubt many first-time IPB users are going to walk in looking for the multi-quote feature, but I would expect most forum users have some experience with quoting posts.Ideally, of course, the button would say "Multi-Quote." With all of the others buttons removed, don't we have room for this now?
Brandon C
So long as they are the same font as what they are now instead of that font you put up top in the poll, I voted for the latter and believe it should be changed.
TestingSomething
I think they're fine as they are. I've never had a member question what they mean on my board.I got new people from a vbulletin site one time and they were totally confused and also becuase of it being called a topic instead of a thread. Keven Fox
Yes but we're talking about the Reply / Quote buttons :P
TestingSomething
I know, and those are confusing both ways. (to people who haven't tried them)In fact multiquote is confusing to many, not just beginners. Becuase I never knew you have to click them all and then click add reply. Someone had to tell me thatw as how to do it.
