If not today, it will probably be Monday. I thought when they get to RC they usually release it quick after the site is upgraded to it, rather than waiting to fix more bugs in it. Although I hope the backslash bugs fixed in bug tracker will also be fixed on our copy.

I released a piece of software once on a Friday 13th and vowed never to do it again.

Here in Greece, as a day with bad luck is considered a Tuesday 13th and not Friday 13th.
So feel free to release RC1 to Greek customers only. (w00t)

Don't expect a release over the weekend, although I have just fixed a load of silly RC 1 bugs (slashes, multi-quote, etc). That's what you get for rewriting part of the BBCode parser to allow tags to be parsed recursively.

I use vB 3.6.x for skinning and mode making and from what I have seen I have to give

IPB 2.2.0 the nod over vB 3.6.x by a wideeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee margin

same here, vb 3.6 is just longer to work with than ipb

Teh bringer of knowledge.

A hint of the IPB 2.2 Beta expiry dates will give you a clue of any approximation of the RC1 relase date.
Hint: October 15, 2006 (give or take a few days for Matt's lack of sleep)

This just builds up more suspense. But we definetly know its going to be released this week. IPS Always checks around after using it on themselves =D

It will be released Monday or Tuesday. It's pretty definite, I would say. They could always wait longer, but I don't see why they would have it on their company forum friday, saturday, sunday, monday, tuesday, and still not have released it publicly.

As already stated, they don't release on the weekends, so it won't be tomorrow.

ahhhhhhh, read, people. Last year they released gallery on weekends and maybe even an IPB release, I dont remember about that. No they won't release it on a weekend, but it isn't some rule, because it HAS been done before.
