On current version the column prefix for groups have value : varchar 250 but this is small value for us to define colors and personalization in our groups. Through this I suggest changing it to a value greater than or equal to 500. In this value I was able to define my groups without any problems. However, the support tab will alert me that there is a problem in my database, due to the change in the value of this column. I use it this way, but to use it this way it was necessary to change the column value as mentioned above. However, the support page keeps alerting me about this change and that is not good. I've been a bit pre-occupied with work lately to stay on top of Beta updates (sorry), but just caught up and installed B4 and noticed a change in how the text-against-image areas on Wallpaper widgets have been handled... I can't say I'm a fan. ^ It doesn't look very nice really. Look at all that fog around the text, smudging the background image up to the halfway point. Is there a chance we can switch this back to the way it was (or maybe revert this with custom CSS somehow)? I much preferred how it was handled before... now it just kind of looks like someone's opened a tub of vaseline over my screen, my eyes are going blinking crazy just looking at it 🙃

Hi guys (Sorry for cross-posting, I didn't realise that the old topic I asked about this was in the now-closed Alpha Club) As we're in Beta phase, I wanted to raise this topic again and see if there has been any more thought given to this? It'd be great to keep an archive of status updates somehow instead of simply disappearing them; if there's no plans then I'll need to look into a third party solution, so it'd be good to know the first-party plans so I can arrange things on my side accordingly. I have changed host for my main site deleted everything on the old host uploaded new install to the new host and get this. An installation has already been activated for this license key. Your license key entitles you to one installation only. If you need to change the URL associated with your license, contact IPS technical support. How do I fix this should I wait 48 hrs.?

Is there any beta documentation for theming HTML/CSS custom theming on IPS5 yet? Without the marketplace we need to determine the feasibility of recreating our theme for IPS5. Considering the amount of features decommissioned, lack of certain features for Classic clients, and the lack of continued support for Commerce payment methods the only two things we’re really using the IPS suite for now are pages/blog posts and a basic stripe checkout with a better external stripe checkout that actually supports all stripe payment methods. Hey Guys. Who of you can tell me the easiest way to upgrade from 4.7.18 in a short step-by-step list? I have tried to upgrade every time from beta 1 to beta 4 (v5). I go and copy all the new files into my old 4.7.18 environment. Then I start domain.tld/admin/upgrade and let the upgrader update everything once. After that, my start page is never accessible. I always get errors. For example this one A clean installation is not the problem, but currently the Converter isn't ready Is it necessary to uninstall all modules and applications before?

I don't know if it's more of a server-side configuration issue, a software-side issue, or if it's completely normal, but Redis continues to eat up the space reserved for it. Initially 256MB, which I increased to 1GB (without really knowing if it's "good" or "bad" to do that). Any advise ? What happend if it reach 1.00G ?

My staff has created in the past (before the upgrade) a large number of tags and regularly several ways of writing the same thing. Example here with the tag "arsenal" and "arsenal fc" both designating the same thing, namely the name of the English football club Arsenal. My question is the following : Can I, directly in phpMyAdmin, edit the tags that are not well written in order to unify everything ? I get error on my page blogs and topics. But this is very strange, because I dont change (default templates on my community) and I get this error after enter on a blog or topic. Could you add an option to restore the original theme? I have this message but there is no practical, quick and functional way to change the theme as mentioned in the message itself.

Hello, could you advise me on how to install my v5? I plan to install v5 in a new folder and then import the old database. This approach seems cleaner, doesn't it? If I place the new installation files in my current site folder, it will include all the existing files, some of which may be unnecessary, right?

Currently, there is no way to precisely position new links or remove existing links in the footer without modifying templates because there are only 4 positions for newly added hooks (before/after opening tag and before/after closing tag). For instance, some sites incorporate Cookie Policy into Privacy Policy page and there is no need for the Cookies link in the footer and no way to remove it without modifying templates or using JS. Please add 10 slots to add links in the footer so admins can add/remove/position links in those slots that you could render in the footer. Most sites would 5-6 link slots.

Good evening, I just tried to update to the latest beta 3 on my on premises staging. Some issues with the first upgrade since an addon (feature content) was completely crashing the site, I finally succeeded to upgrade doing a new fresh migration and disabling all the extra addons before to start. The cache has been cleaned properly, I'm using a fresh new out of the box theme and I uninstalled all the custom addons I had before the upgrade. My problem is now that the client area is just unstable for me and and chrome is crashing when I start to scroll a page, especially the home page which is instant crashing all the time. In the Page Editor under Pages there is a Database widget which should let you add a Database to a page. So far, so good. But for me this is never usable. I know there is a condition that a database can only be used on one page. But for me there is always under every circumstance already an existing page. When I edit the database in ACP and delete the page name and save it the software just creates a new page for the database. On the other hand, I can't delete this page in ACP. The option in the dropdown isn't available if the page is used by a database. So how is this supposed to work? Am I missing something? 🙂
