IIRC in v4 you needed to use a plugin or modification to get it working. Bummer.

The cost of self hosted went up by a factor of five for me. i was told the reason for this was that all the extra features (like blogs) were included as one package. but when im on the v5 forum its clear the features could have been disabled as they are modular. anyway, my point is if im going to pay five times the cost you could include all features and not segregate based on the cloud market.

Personalization. It works well on knockout, so it works in a production forum. Heck, I’d love to have this option even if it is an admin only option.

Knockout.chat has the ability to set per-thread backgrounds for members in the gold member group. This is limited to the creator of the thread. Could we get something similar added to v5?

Is there a guide on getting steam login/authenticaiton working with v5?

Can this get closed? I created a bug report.

When the setting "Users can see topics posted by other users?" is disabled (to create a private mod/admin only forum for the end user) the following error is displayed for the end-user AFTER posting a thread in the subforum. "[[Template forums/front/index/forumRow is throwing an error. This theme may be out of date. Run the support tool in the AdminCP to restore the default theme.]]" The subforum also vanishes for the end user. This affects both beta 5 and beta 6.

I legitimately can't find the option anywhere.

It looks like in order to use the beta I have to convert my license. I understand two things about this: 1) If its not renewed every 2 years I lose the license permanently 2) It's more expensive. Is there anything else I'm missing?
