Hoping someone can help me with this. I set up my forum several years ago, & everything worked totally fine. I never got a ton of traffic, but the forum itself worked fine. Now, the forum is basically gone. When I go to the url where the forum once lived, I now get a "Sorry! That page doesn't seem to exist." I haven't fallen behind on my billing (that I know of), or deleted it (that I know of), or anything else. If I had to guess, I'd point to two possible options: * I fell behind on upgrading the forum & basically ignored it for a long (since it seemed fine & I wasn't getting much activity.) Hi everyone, I've been a dedicated user of Invision Community since 2011, and I've always appreciated how smoothly upgrades have gone in the past. However, the recent upgrade to version 4.7.18 has put me in a difficult situation. During the process, I received a message indicating that there are some problems with my database. The system suggests that while it is usually safe to fix these issues automatically, it may be preferable to run the necessary queries manually for larger communities. Since applying the last patch, other users and I have appear to be having a problem with the private message feature. For example, when I am in an inbox and try to go to a specific page within a private message thread, the link does not work. Below is an example of a URL that will not work (recognize that a non-user cannot access this URL). https://www.billikens.com/forum/index.php?/messenger/7533/&page=5 Any guidance on how to troubleshoot/address this problem would be appreciated. My server is rejecting emails because my forum is sending out too many emails because so many members are following topics. They have advised me to check settings in the ACP to see if there is a way to slow this down by maybe only sending that member 1 email a day instead of every time somebody posts? Is there a way to do that and how? Al;so is there a way to stop all members following content at once setting somewhere? I realize they can follow again but how to stop all for right now? Thanks

I've been stuck trying to upgrade past v4.6.12.1 for quite some time now. The update fails with this error: [removed image because it has potentially sensitive information] I'm trying to minimize down time so the board is currently up (reverted back to pre-update) but if you run the update you'll stall at the same point. Note: The board is currently running php7.4 for this old version of the script. The server has 8+ but it breaks the board if we try to run the board under it, so we are waiting to get past this first hurdle before moving the board to 8. Then we need to upgrade to the latest version of the script.

I am writing to report an issue that occurs during the user registration process on our website. When a user registers, they receive the email verification as expected. However, upon clicking the verification link, they encounter the following error message: There was a problem with the link you followed to validate your account. I edited a member's article record, and I found this bug on the listing page where it shows the listing articles: The left side shows author username and the title of the article. The right side shows the number of reviews, number of comments, last comment made by avatar along with the member's username and the time that comment was posted. I just tried to update from 4.7.17 to 4.7.18 in multiple forums. All of them failed with the message „There was an error downloading the files to your server.“ As update only the full download is available which takes ages to upload and compare to the server. I initiated a forum update and was prompted to manually install some Redis and Store php files. I've done those manually, but it still says I need to update them and thus I'm stuck in the upgrade loop. These are the files, all of which I downloaded from the client area and replaced on-server. Hello, I've just done a zero installation because I've moved machine. I took the opportunity to go from .16 or .17 to .18. I see that members can make a ticket but when I click on make a request, I get an error saying that a department must be created in the adminCP. Also, in the adminCP, the ticket tab is removed. But in the search bar, I can find all the ticket elements, so I've created 2 departments but the error still exists. Why does this happen? I thought tickets would be removed in v15? What's more, patch .18 mentions a fix and not a removal for ticket requests? Thanks

When trying to click next page, 2, 3, next or even enter page #, it wont change to that page. I have to right click on page number and select open in new window. I'm using the default Invision theme and have updated to the very latest version of the forum software. Hi, When using an external SMTP server, Invision sends the domain name of the SMTP SERVER in the HELO/EHLO commands, instead of the CLIENT (i.e. the server Invision is running on). This is incorrect and violates the SMTP standard (RFC 2821), which says: This information -- the domain name of the server Invision is running on -- is readily available, for example, from the license key URL. Here's the incorrect code in Smtp.php, with HELO/EHLO being sent with the SMTP server's name ($this->smtpHost) This is causing mail servers to reject outbound mail (error 550). Please fix this asap. Happy to provide more logs/information if needed.

Since we upgraded from 4.4 series to the latest 4.7 version we've gotten a number of reports (myself included) of our accounts always locking immediately upon login on a mobile device. We enter the correct password but it still locks the account everytime. It also appears that the remember me function doesn't work on mobile devices either for these users. Any suggestions? Brian

Although I don't have a great way to test across multiple versions of Firefox, the register button for new users on the 4.7.18 version of the IPS forum does not work in Firefox 130.0.1. The button itself shows, but clicking it does not post a registration request. Our board is a fresh install and no modifications beyond adding custom CSS for pages have been done. What do we need to do to get registration working on Firefox in addition to other browsers?
